when a change is planned and missed

Post by knasson »

Hi,

Last night several electricals disturbations happened and some tasks were planned . Domoticz was cut off when the planned starting time happens
what i observed after reboot is if the planned time of the change has passed the state don't change.
could you confirm this observation and if yes how to manage this automaticly. What i would need is that the planned change be operated even if the starting time has passed.

That is correct and would otherwise be extreme dangerous if certain switches/lights would be turned on based on previous timers.
In case of power outages, best to just turn the lights back on?
And use switches that know how to restore to the last current state. (most zigbee/zwave devices can do so)

Yes, that's also an issue when you change from one timer plan to another or have some timers that may sometimes be inactivated/reactivated: After change back to new plan/activation, current devices status in timer plan for current time frame can't be enforced.
Even from script, to avoid possible unwanted behavior, that's not possible to get "should-be" state for current time frame to be able to manage this at least for user managed changes (like a timer plan switching, I already missed this kind of feature for devices managing heaters for instance), for devices that may require some strict state enforcement according to their plan.
