Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
Thank you, it works fine.
The watermeter is another issue , and yes I have a watermeter in Domoticz for more then a year.
It is present in the energy dashboard, so why it's not to be handled here?
It is not that important to me, it's just a nice picture.

Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
You have to set it as one of the custom widgets, see the screenshot in https://wiki.domoticz.com/Energy_dashboard for a reference.
Else post a screenshot of the Watermeter device widget and your the energy dashboard configuration settings.

Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
Ah, I see. Forgot to tell that I have it in use, but the icon is not that of drop of water but just 4 squares.
Wat I ment was that choosing the item "water" (the third option), shows only disabled. And choosing waterflow as a dummy does not appear eather, what seams to be logic.
Please let me know when the "water" option will be in use.
It would be nice that I, for now, could choose de waterdrop as the proper icon

Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
Ah, you need to have a proper Domoticz water counter device and then it works.
Edit: as shown here https://wiki.domoticz.com/Dummy_for_vir ... es#Counter

Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
My watermeter does not combine 2 values, and therefore my device has only 1. The dashboard does not see's such a device and hence the disable.
How can I create that device, given the presence of more then one counter the actual watermeter send it to Domoticz?

The Domoticz counter does not combine 2 values, it calculates values from the total or incremental counter value it receives from your hardware.Ctenberge wrote: ↑Wednesday 20 November 2024 10:42 My watermeter does not combine 2 values, and therefore my device has only 1. What kind of Domoticz watermeter device do you have now? Can you post a screenshot of the device widget?

Now I was to quick to answer. The watermeter device in Domoticz has 2 values:
So, why not showing.

Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
You have to manually select it in the Setup - settings menu, tab energy dashboard. By default it is disabled. If you click on the pull down menu for water you should see the Watermeter Value device to select. Then click on Apply Settings and then it should be visible in the energy dashboard.

Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
Are the dynamic energy prices working? I'm having incredibly weird results.
Now, my energy price custom sensor is using c/kWh units which I know are probably wrong, it should be €/kWh? Or perhaps €/Wh? Documentation doesn't mention anything about this.
The price for today has varied between 0.04€ - 0.10€ per kWh.
152/116 = 1.31€ /kWh which is nowhere near the real value even if you divide it by 100..
Edit: I just configured this yesterday, maybe I need to wait a bit longer?

Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
You have to use €/kWh as a tariff, it off course also depends on the currency you use $, £,¥ etc

Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
Check the report page of that device. It give perhaps more insight.
And also wait at least 2 full days to understand the values.

Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
Did you use 116687 kWh for that day? Is this correct? or should it have been 116.xx kWh ? If that is the case, your kWh value is not correct.

Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
"," is the decimal point in Finnish locale. Domoticz seems to use "," and "." randomly depending on the page. kWh value is correct.
On the dashboard it shows like this:
And the report page:
Here's the screenshot of the energy page for today:
Electricity price has been quite rock solid 7-8 c/kWh for the entire day. As you can quickly see, the math for each device seems to be different but none are correct.
Upper electric car: 128.14c / 31.368 kWh = 4.08 c/kWh
Lower electric car: 30.37c / 10.691 kWh = 2.84 c/kWh
Solar: 0.42c / 0.072kWh = 5.83 c/kWh (ok quite small numbers

Grid: 696.97c / 153.810 kWh = 4.53 c/ kWh
Here's the daily values of my price custom sensor:
Code: Select all

As you can see there is no way to get 4.xx c/kWh prices at any hour. And my battery and cars are scheduled so that they charge at the same time so battery power has no effect on car charging price.
I am using the latest stable domoticz. Perhaps it would work better in a later beta version?
Edit: Also where is the electric price unit configured? It just guesses € because of my location? I would prefer c/kWh if possible. But if I get this working better I can change to € if needed, it's just that my own scripting uses c/kWh in many places.

Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
Hey, I might be hitting some upper limit on the prices in some mysterious way. An hour has passed, last screenshot was from 18:55 and this is from 20:01:
As you can see the prices have not incremented at all, even thought kwh is incremented. But weird if there is some overflow or upper limit, why is the limit different for each counter? The devices might have different update intervals, but can't think of any other difference..
I will try switching to €/kWh in my custom counter, or just create another one with /100 values so I don't have to mess with my scripts that depend on c/kWh. In theory that should move the overflow limit 100 times higher?
Edit: Bah, grid € counter just updated to 708.23€.. so it was not limited after all.

Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
I have a small problem:
A S0 device is not available as Solar device in Energy Dashboard Setup. The type is general and Counter incremental. I have searched this topic but I couldn´t find it. The result is that thereś no value for the solar. How can I solve this?

Got it wrong device. Still the same problem, I cann´t select my S0 general counter in my Solar setting because it does not appear in the selection.
