SOLVED Deleted devices keep coming back

For devices supporting the Auto Discovery feature. Like ZWaveJS2MQTT, Zigbee2MQTT.

SOLVED Deleted devices keep coming back

Post by Xavier82 »

Past few months some old Shellies (Shelly 2.5) start dying so I replaced them by Shellies Plus 2PM GEN2 devies.
I removed the old broken devices in Domoticz and added the new ones.

Sinds yesterday I noticed that the removed devices keep coming back as devices.
I have deleted them again and restarted Domoticz, but they came back again.
I set them to "Unused" en deleted them, but again they come back again.

How can I permenantly delete these old devices?
Reason I want to permantely delete them is because I have over 60 Shelly devices and it will become difficult to seperate old and removed ones from the new and added ones.

I use the MQTT autodiscovery hardware for these Shellies.

Hope someone has a solution to fix this!

Thanks

You have retained config topics in your MQTT broker. You should delete those. See the MQTT wiki how to do that: https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/MQTT#Dele ... ined_topic
Domoticz running on Udoo X86 (on Ubuntu)
Devices/plugins: ZigbeeforDomoticz (with Xiaomi, Ikea, Tuya devices), Nefit Easy, Midea Airco, Omnik Solar, Goodwe Solar
