2023.1 timer problems
Main problem still exists.
Devices timer function is not working. I have used timer functions for years but after update to 2023.1 timers are not working.
I can manually turn on or off devices but not via timer functions.
When the timer should turn on or off a device, there is nothing in the systems log or the device log.
When I do it manually there is noticed in both system and device logs are updated.
I am currently in my summerhouse and I need automatic control over lights and fan as the house is unattended for long periods.
I am going back home soon and it is 300km between home and summerhouse.
Any idea?

Re: 2023.1 timer problems
Without any code it is difficult to guess what the cause might be....

Re: 2023.1 timer problems
It is a built in function for each switch on the standard Domoticz web page Switches. No code used.
Only used the devices built in function Timer.
You set on/off-time in the Timer function.
Used that function since Dz version 3.xx, maybe 2014. Have two installations running on Rpi on different locations, with many devices. Used the timer function for years but since update it is not working and will not turn on lights when it gets dark.
No code whatsoever except running Domoticz 2023.1

Ah, ok, I never used those timers. I thought you might have been referring to DzVents timers. Sorry, can't help.

I went back to previous version, changed SD-card.
No problems now.
Be back in 30 days, will update again and troubleshoot.

Same here I was testing my S26 Sonoff with MQTT and that worked, but the timer options within that switch not

Re: 2023.1 timer problems
I'm seeing the same problem with timers. Some timers I had setup prior to upgrade are still working, but a new one I just setup isn't firing at the "on time". Just like the other user here, I've used the built in timers on the switches in domoticz with no problems for years I'll experiment some later to see if I can narrow anything down as to why the old ones work and new ones don't.
Re: 2023.1 timer problems
Hi
As far as I know, there is a big change on the management of the timers.
Now there are 2 tabs "Table" and "Grid".
You should report a bug on github: https://github.com/domoticz/domoticz/issues
and use the development version until the new "stable" version will be published.
I have no problem to set the timer from dzvents via the API.

Re: 2023.1 timer problems
I just got the latest development build:
Version: 2023.1 (build 15115)
Build Hash: f4e9477cd
Compile Date: 2023-03-06 10:48:49
dzVents Version: 3.1.8
Python Version: 3.10.6 (main, Nov 14 2022, 16:10:14) [GCC 11.3.0]
And the timer I set as test works flawlessly: it was a test with a On time setting.

Re: 2023.1 timer problems
I'm still seeing this problem even after updating to the latest dev build and creating new timers with it:
Version: 2024.4 (build 15910)
Build Hash: 0f2fcff99
Compile Date: 2024-02-10 11:56:24
Update:
When testing this it is necessary to create timers several minutes before they are due to trigger. The above dev build does actually work for me now.

Re: 2023.1 timer problems
I'm having the same problem with Timers on Domoticz 2023.2 on Docker.
Some of them work, some not.
It doesn't matter when created, some created years ago worked fine for few years (on Raspberry) and stopped working after moving to Docker.
Any chances this will start working again ?

Re: 2023.1 timer problems
Start with going to the latest stable 2024.7 or even better latest beta.
Domoticz running on Udoo X86 (on Ubuntu)
Devices/plugins: ZigbeeforDomoticz (with Xiaomi, Ikea, Tuya devices), Nefit Easy, Midea Airco, Omnik Solar, Goodwe Solar
