I agree with @jvdz and @janpep, but... (there is always a but)
It would have been nice if after the 2024.5 the little LOG_FORCE bug was found that there was a rollback to the point just before all the new FCM stuff was committed, the LOG_FORCE bug was solved and then a new 2024.6 was released.
And then again the new FCM stuff committed again in the beta.

But that is just my opinion. ;)

I am happy that features are added and bugs are killed.
Just updated on my RPi 4 (Bullseye) using Domoticz update option without any problems. Up and running 2024.7 in 25 seconds (mostly due to the auto-backup).
So: thank you.

Then in my definition it was not stable or or thoroughly tested. Fix is possible in new beta. It seems strange to call it stable three times in a short time. Then the word loses its meaning.
Don’t understanding this complaint. I think it is very Nice that if bugs occur in a stable release that a new version is released.

Of course you have a good point. Again: I'm not complaining. I drew attention to the fact that it will be called a stable version very quickly and I asked when it will be called stable. Enough about this as far as I am concerned.

Upgrade from 2022.2 (Buster) to 2024.7(Bullseye) completed. Took really some preparation, but mainly because of postponing from my site it took over half a year. Just some issues with usb sticks and me not thinking took extra time this morning. Almost everyting in docker containers.

Running Domoticz happily for almost a decade.

Just added my Niro and Solaredge battery stuff, looks great. Just have to wait for my smart meter to start playing with the Energy Dashboard.

Keep up the good work.

Upgraded from 2024.4 to 2024.7 yesterday, all went smooth... Mostly using zwave (still OZW as I do not add anything new on this side now) & Zigbee using Z4D + a few services of my own aside Domoticz using HTTP/JSON API, hosted by a PI3B.

Thanks to all that contributed to this new release!

Hi,

@waltervl wrote:

I wouldn't call this an issue.

After installation of Rasberry Pi OS "Bookworm" install 2 packages:

Code: Select all

sudo apt install libssl1.1
and

Code: Select all

sudo apt install libusb-dev
That did the trick for me.

Running Domoticz 2024.7, together with Node-RED 4.0.2 and Mosquitto, on a Rasberry Pi 1B+, with Bookworm, installed!!!

Regards

the Pi5 needs different core Linux image which are only available in the Official PiOS Bookworm. Domoticz will not start on a pi5 with the Official PiOS Bookworm image. Is anyone running Domoticz on a RPI 5 with pios bookworm? and if so how?

How to turn on or where is the energy panel located?

Unfortunately, the machinon theme does not support the energy panel.

On Bullseye (updated/upgraded) with Zwave-JS on RPI4, I updated Domoticz from 2024.4 to 2024.7.
Update was a breeze and with a browser cache clear Domoticz was up and running again.
Thanks team!!

Did you had to do a browser cache clean? That should not be necessary since quite some time
