Thank you again for the release and development!
Has anyone else tried the Firebase/Google cloud messaging in 2024.6? I see it was updated in the release notes but no messages now go through.

Thank you @waltervl for pointing that out.
Google is deprecating the old API starting July 22nd, so messaging will permanently break for all users on the stable Domoticz release around that time:

Re: Domoticz version 2024.6 released
I checked. However, I have RPBpi 1 B+. I'm angry because the update was automatic - without any message. It's true that I haven't updated in a long time - but it shouldn't happen. There should be information because currently the entire system is unusable - domoticz does not work. Additionally - installing domoticz on Debian is practically impossible in a short time. I'm installing Ubuntu now - hoping that the standard installer will handle it - but I doubt it.

Re: Domoticz version 2024.6 released
Under Ubuntu, unfortunately the script "curl -sSL install.domoticz.com | sudo bash" stops at libssl.so.1.1 - the current libraries are libss.so.3 - symbolic links do not help. Drama!. I'm installing Debian and I'm going to compile - I don't see any other option.

Re: Domoticz version 2024.6 released
Finally - all works fine. New version has many good patches and works very good (2024.7 on Debian 12.8).

Re: Domoticz version 2024.6 released
Checked the dasboard this morning. Version 16157 has been released. That would be 2024.7, but it does not show in the release notes.
Edit : Github has 2024.7.

Re: Domoticz version 2024.6 released
And again I get a green popup today telling me that a new version of Domoticz is available.
1. When i follow the 'Click Here' link, it does not show information about a new release for what has changed.
2. In the settings I opted for the 'stable' releases. With that I thought you could call it stable if it runs smoothly in different environments for a certain period of time by a group of beta testers.
Now I wonder: How can it be called stable when a new build is released every few days. That seems a bit strange to me. Question: By what definition is it called stable?

Re: Domoticz version 2024.6 released
A new build is not released every few days but this year when a stable update occurs any faults are straight away fixed with a new stable. I like it.

Re: Domoticz version 2024.6 released
Then in my definition it was not stable or or thoroughly tested. Fix is possible in new beta. It seems strange to call it stable three times in a short time. Then the word loses its meaning.

Re: Domoticz version 2024.6 released
So why didn't you test it with the Beta and report this before it was released?
Guess what I am trying to say here is that you seem to have a strong opinion about all of this without putting in any effort to help with the project yourself. This to me is not a very polite way of thanking all people that are willing to put in the effort!
My advice to you, and all others that are complaining here about new releases popping up:
Just disable the notification of new releases and sit tight for a couple of weeks after a new release, so any remaining bug that might not have popped up during Beta testing are fixed.
... but hey... this is just how I feel about all these opinions/complaints expressed in these release threads.

Re: Domoticz version 2024.6 released
I did not notice any problem. So I do not know what I shoud have been testing. And if you read carefully, you will see that I am not complaining, but asked a question about when it is called stable. I also state as a fact (and not so much as a complaint) that it happens quite quickly, which makes me wonder how thoroughly it could have been tested.
This is completely separate from the great appreciation I have for all the energy given to this project. For my part, I try to give a small contribution by "showing my projects".
