New iOS App for domoticz
Hi,
I am about to launch a new iPhone app for domoticz. It includes stats, today extensions, geofence and some more. I am currently testing in Apple's beta program.
I have no final name, but the working name is 'domotix'. I'd like to gather some more user feedback before launching and therefor invite you to send me a PM.
I'll invite the first 20 interested people for the 'TestFlight'. I will need your email address to invite you, the app requires iOS 8.1 and your domiticz server should be reachable by http, possibly protected by basic auth.
The app is available in EN and NL right now.
regards,
Michael

Re: New iOS App for domoticz
Looks promising. I've installed the app and one thing I like to mention is: when a switch is protected in Domoticz, you shouldn't be able to just switch it on or off via the app.
Ofcourse I'm going to test some more

Looking great!
But I think I found a bug. For the location services, I can only select motion-sensors to switch. The 'regular' on/off-switches are not available...

Found another one: when the name of a switch is too long, the switch isn't displayed properly.

Re: New iOS App for domoticz
Thanks all for providing feedback, really helpful. Couple of things to note:
- Strangely most of you were invited to test version 0.4.3, but that version wasn't open for beta-test. Seems a bug in Apple's itunes connect. Anyway, today you've received an invite for v 0.5.5
- 20 have registered, so I won't accept new requests for a while.
- if you have any bugs or feature request, please use the TestFlight app, click 'Send Feedback', that way I can manage it more easily
- I'll look at this forum too, but less frequently than the TestFlight feedback
thanks a lot, keep testing,
Michael

Re: New iOS App for domoticz
This is actually a feature, not a bug. The idea is to create a virtual switch of type 'Motion Sensor', not use an existing real switch.Dynamic wrote:Looking great!

Re: New iOS App for domoticz
Of course you can't actually turn it on or off, it will show the original state within a few (at most 10) seconds. You mean the switch should be disabled?mvveelen wrote:Looks promising. OK! I will change my virtual switch to 'motion' instead of 'on/off'.mfranken wrote:This is actually a feature, not a bug. The idea is to create a virtual switch of type 'Motion Sensor', not use an existing real switch.Dynamic wrote:Looking great!

Re: New iOS App for domoticz
BTW: Today Extensions will appear when you swipe from the top of your screen down. Also works without unlocking your phone.
This way you can control your favorite switches almost directly.
