RFXCOM RAW Transmit RFY

Hi,

I’m trying to send a command to my Somfy blind using RFXmngr. Unfortunately the command that I need is not in the list. I would like to send an ‘up/down > 2 sec’ command. The command most simular to this command is the ‘up/down > 5 sec’ command. Would it be possible for someone to translate the ‘up/down > 5 sec’ command to a ‘up/down > 2 sec’ command in a raw transmit file?

Would like to know if something like this is possible, if more information needed: please ask!

It is not possible to transmit a RAW RFY command.
The available RFY commands are pre-programmed in the RFX firmware and a new command would need a firmware update.

Why do you need an ‘up/down > 2 sec’ command?
Maybe better to contact RFXCOM support?

Thanks for you answer! I would like to use the command to set my Somfy RTS Motor from US to EU mode (see image below). By pressing the 'up/down > 5 sec' command, the motor already goes to EU mode, but unfortunately this setting will only be saved when confirming with an 'up/down > 2 sec' command, otherwise the motor will return to US mode after ~1,5 minute. EDIT: I just noted that there are various manuals on the internet to switch between the mode. Either confirm it with 'up/down > 2 sec' or confirm it with 'down/my > 2 sec' command, but both commands are not available.

Ofcourse I could buy a regular Somfy remote, but since I can program all other things with the RFXcom, I would really prefer that way. Do you have any experience with RFXcom support?

to my knowledge you need a somfy remote to program upper and lower limit as well as the 'my' position.
I can't recall right now but for some reason you need during set-up to press both up and down together which is impossible with rfxcom

That's awesome! The RFXcom is working perfectly. I have programmed an Up and Down position and have integrated this into Home Assistant with ease. My problem with the US mode - where it is currently in - is that I cannot send a short command to tilt the blind just a degree or two (see image below).

When I send a short 'UP or Down < 0,5 sec' command in US mode, the blinds will go to the open or close position. Only when I send an 'Up or Down'command for > 2 seconds, the blinds will start to tilt. Tilting like this will always be like 10 or more degrees.

This is why I would like to set the somfy motor to EU mode, and like I said before: When I send an UP/DOWN > 5 second command, the somfy motor is already set to EU mode and works perfectly with Home Assistant! The only problem is that I cannot save the mode into the somfy motor by sending an MY/Down > 2 sec or Up/Down > 2 sec command.

Would it be possible to fix this or can we figure out a work around?

Had contact with RFXcom support today and they almost instantly updated the software and added the needed command!! Awesome! Programming, controlling and switching between EU/US mode for Somfy RTS is now possible all without the need of a separate Somfy remote control. Thanks!

The latest RFX433XL firmware version 2032 and RFXmngr 19.0.0.57 support the down+stop/My > 2 seconds command.
