help to understand auto discovery

Hi!

im about to install this MQTT auto discovery, i have tried homeassistant and i guess that this auto discovery is similar to the homeassistant autodiscovery.

but is there a guide how this configuration should be done?
i have added the plugin in the hardware menu, but im stuck with the remote adress and username and password, what should i enter there?

how does it work when the autodiscovery is working, does the discovered sensors,switches and more automatically end up in the switches menu or where can i find them?

Mqtt Auto discover gateway discovers mqtt devices that sends mqtt messages according the Homeassistant mqtt auto discover protocol.

It is not the same as the Homeassistant auto discover function that scans your network for known network devices and adds them to the environment.
