Hi,

I got the SONOFF Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus V2 and when I plug it in I can see that it's recognised.

On the web page of the module I get this error:

Perhaps reboot your complete system.
Use /dev/serial/by-id/usb-ITEAD_SONOFF_Zigbee_3.0_USB_Dongle_Plus_V2_20221201102140-if00
Check if the Hardware gateway (plugin) is still enabled in menu Setup-Hardware.
Seems that the plugin is restarting for some reason.
Else we have to wait for @pipiche to arrive.

However, zwave-js-ui snap is disabled and is checking also other USB devices when I plug them in - but it doesn't use them.

Domoticz is running as root and no other app/daemon is using nor ACM1 nor by-id device.

I did already everything that @waltervl said, but to no avail.

I'm now running one instance of plugin to keep all my zigbee devices running and connected to old Zigate USB controller and I added a new instance of a plugin to use Sonoff one for testing - I have both devices connected. Zigate is USB0 and Sonoff is ACM0 and that long by-id thing.

When I changed the device in the original plugin it had the same problem - it could not talk to the USB device and reloaded every so often.

And then I would look at the plugin log

I moved it from USB3 port on a server to an USB2 hub - but still the same issue. Plugin doesn't want to to communicate with controller properly (and/or vice versa)

ok, what I have is "SONOFF Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus V2". This is a newer version of "SONOFF Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus" and they renamed them to “ZBDongle-E” and “ZBDongle-P”

...so I have “ZBDongle-E”.

They have different chipset and they "use different Zigbee stack firmware which will affect compatibility/support with different Zigbee gateway application implementations".

I did have USB problems when i rebooted the raspberry, i have 3 usb devices connected, sometimes after a reboot the 3 devices were connected to an other usb port. I solved this by doing a persistent usb connection, so a device is always connected to the same port. Look on internet for "persistent USB devices".

Ah, bugger... I had it on Zigate.

When I set it up properly on a second plugin instance it still did not want to work - it told me to:
"Multi instances plugin detected. Enable zigpy workaround"

In theory, I should be able to run one instance on Zigate and another on Sonoff, da?

I deleted the second instance of the module, restarted the domoticz, set the primary module instance to Texas instruments model, USB port ot Sonoff device and the plugin started...

Tomorrow I'll figure out how to re-pair all the sensors - but THANK YOU very much for your help!!!

Ah, bugger... I had it on Zigate.

Only the one doing nothing, don't have issue ..

Yes you can run multiple instances this works. The message here is a normal one. I would have been interested to have the logs and symptome.
