zwave-js-ui and meshing

Post by pvklink »

Enviroment: domoticz on a docker, zwave-js-ui on a docker both on rpi4b with latest rasbian and mosquitto on a docker.

I recently installed zwave-js-ui because my zwave in docker wasnt stable and meshud up my startup.
I installed all my zwave devices in zwvae-js-ui and installed the discovery plugin in domoticz.
It works great and stable!

I have two 2 problems i cant solve on my own, need help ...

1. One zwave device on my 2 floor: a EUROTRONICS SPIRIT VALVE (device Y)with battery becomes dead after including.
i have a Z-Stick S2 USB Controller, and when i take it of my rpi and include the eurotronics on the 2e floor, it does include.
When i attach the z-stick again on my rpi, zwave-js-ui shows the new zwave device (euro..) and tries to get node-info...
But, my controller cant reach this device, but does see another device on the 2e floor, say device X!
2. Can i do something to tell zwave-js-ui to use the zwave device X to communicate with Y and vise versa ?

In zwave domoticz this was easy by clicking the poll entry on a device...
No clue how to do this in zwave-js-ui

I tried
a. i see endpoints and no clue what to do with that and
b. see device configurations values. I added
device X, value: current_value, poll enabled and 10 seconds.no device class or other options set
device X, value: power, poll enabled and 10 seconds. no device class or other options set

but no... discovery of device Y

What do i wrong, do i need endpoint stuff? or other device config values ?

I still use OpenZwave, so don't exactly know how it work with zwave-js-ui... but I think you have to look for something like "heal network" or "heal node". That function check's routing of the Zwave network. I have also the EUROTRONICS SPIRIT VALVE so I will be following this thread, see if you can get it to work with zwave-js-ui.

Perhaps use Zwave-JS-UI nodes health check: https://zwave-js.github.io/zwave-js-ui/ ... ealthcheck

Edit: There seems to be a Heal Network and re-interview Nodes function somewhere in ZwaveJS-UI (Advanced??)

User manual of ZwaveJSUI could use some improvement....

Sorry, I did not ask you to do a dump. I just showed you where you possibly do your polling or reconfigure your zwave network routing using a screenshot that was used to do a dump. But you also see a HEAL NETWORK button.

Better ask ZwaveJS to make proper user documentation. On ther other hand, just exploring the Zwave-JS User interface by clicking on all pull down menu's and options will also help you find the correct function.
