CPU usage with weather block and news block

Post by Renber »

Hello,

I have an abnormal CPU usage problem with the 'news' block and the dynamic icons of the weather block

When the dynamic weather icons are active, my CPU uses 20% permanently.

On the RSS news block, I have cyclical rises at 70% and can last several seconds. (even without pictures)

Either way, if dashticz is running in the background, I don't have the problem.

Do you also have this problem?

I'm on Windows 11 and using Chrome. My version of dashticz is the latest beta.

The dynamic icons unfortunately require that amount of CPU power. I can't change this.
You can switch to the static icons.

The RSS block uses a scrolling mechanism. I'll check whether that can be optimized.
