Toshiba Airconditioning

Hello,

i'm looking for a way to connect my Toshiba Seiya AC with Domoticz. I've searched the internet up and down, but there's not a whole lot to find about Toshiba, it seems to be the least popular premium brand.

I found this github though, where someone (h4de5) managed to get it working for home assistant. Unfortunately my scripting powers are lacking and I would not know where to start to somehow convert this solution to Domoticz. Is there someone who would be willing to help with this?

You could already try run the example.py from the github to see if it connects to your Toshiba AC

It should start and stop all the Toshiba AC's in your house....

OK, this looks pretty interesting. I've got 2 Toshiba AC's here. Will try to make an application that publises onto MQTT so we can use the MQTT AD feature. Will base it on this base library (that the HA integration also uses).

I would be very happy to help with the testing. However, I am not experienced at all in writing (or even understanding) this kind of code. I recently succesfully finished my first LUA script, but that was a very one-dimensional script, which I only created with the help of chatgpt and copilot. I tried that same path for operating the toshiba airco, but for now that is "out of my league".
