While browsing the RFXCOM website looking to see if their transceiver was back in stock after being unavailable for absolutely ages, I noticed that they have two new transceivers available:
See http://blog.rfxcom.com/?p=312 and

Does anyone know if Domoticz will support these with the existing drivers or will they need new ones?
When I looked at this two days ago, both products were in stock but now they are already both out of stock! They were also considerably (30%) cheaper
a couple of days ago and so are nowhere near so attractive as they were....what a shame!

The RFXtrxUSB and RFXtrxWifi use the RFXtrx interface protocol and can be used the same way as the RFXtrx433XL. See "Software & Documentation" for the list of supported home automation applications.
A very few ultra low priced prototypes are available at the moment.
The 868MHz versions supports now also Itho CVE ECO RFT and Orcon.
The 433MHz version is prepared for the new bi-directional Brel and Dooya blind motors. (not yet tested) The receive functions are not yet fully operational and we try to add as much as possible. At this moment AC (Kaku, Chacon,Nexa), ARC, X10 and some Oregon sensors are supported.
