Just a quick question, when adding a new device using the z2m frontend before you have chance to set the name to something sensible Domoticz has already added it using the MAC as the name, would it cause a problem if when you want to add a new device you set the Auto Discovery to disabled so you can add it to the z2m front end and change the name and then enable Auto Discovery again so it's added with the right name ?
TIA

Yes that's unfortunally how it works... But you can disable the hardware in Domoticz, add your device in z2m, and rename it, then enable the hardware in Domoticz.
Or after adding, copy the long device is (long hex string), go to the device tab, put that in the search box.
You should see 1 or more devices, then rename them from there

Hello,
Is this still the way it works?
Is there any way to directly get the good names on Domoticz side?
Another question: is there a way to totally wipe out Domoticz, to restart from scratch, and get all the good names at ones ?
