Hi,
@tjabas
The option "Prevent Loop" True/False has been introduced in version 4.11921 after a lot of discussion on this forum that the MQTT loop function has been removed in version 4.11763.
So if you are running a version between these two, you might have a problem if you need a loop back, as there is no possibility to recreate it again.
However you were below 4.11763. This should not be an issue for you.

Re: Easiest way to get google home connected to domoticz?
hi again!
i have tested homebridge now for some hours and its more responsive becuase of the MQTT, but today i was trying to start the tv by telling google home, hey google turn on the tv, and nothing happened, so it seemed like homebridge didnt update from domoticz, in domoticz the tv was set to off, but in homebridge it was set to on. could it be that i need to update to the latest stable version of domoticz to get the prevent loop function?
i also see this message in homebridge:
[2020-5-9 13:12:19] [Domoticz] synchronizeAccessories in progress...
HAP Warning: Characteristic undefined not in required or optional characteristics for service D92D5391-92AF-4824-AF4ABFD-356F25F25EA1. Adding anyway.
i dont know what it means though.

Re: Easiest way to get google home connected to domoticz?
Hello again!
i noticed that when you tell google home to switch a device on or off, i get in the domoticz log something like, MQTT message switch idx101 on,
but i have noticed that sometimes this MQTT message doesnt show in the log, just the ordinary switch command.
and i guess that the MQTT service doesnt work when this happens, because i have the same functionality as before i installed the MQTT service.
i have to reboot domoticz for it to work again, is there a way to get MQTT to work better? mabe change any ports or so?

hi!
i have noticed that homebridge looses the connection to the MQTT broker often, the solution is to reboot homebridge, the it works good, is there a way to get this to work better or maybee an auto reboot of homebridge somehow?

A guide to install Homebridge can be found here: https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Homekit_Siri
Once installed you can install the google plugin from the web GUI. Info about the plugin can be found here: https://github.com/oznu/homebridge-gsh#readme
Personally I am a Apple user so primarily I use Homebridge to control Domoticz from Apple. But I have installed the google plugin too and my son uses his Google home to control the Domoticz devices in his room. This works very good. Only thing that didn’t work was asking Google what the temperature in his room is, but maybe this is also already implemented.

Re: Easiest way to get google home connected to domoticz?
Thanks for this route to success, the Homebridge way works great on my Synology NAS. I still experience occasional issues with e.g. a switch appearing double in Homebridge and thus in the Google Home app, but it seems that after a few reboots of Homebridge, that has been resolved.
Thanks very much for this solution!

Re: Easiest way to get google home connected to domoticz?
I started working with Homebridge as well. I installed Homebridge on the server, installed Homebridge gsh on homebridge. I connected with my Google account. Now I want to link my Google home to Homebridge and the Google Home app says:"Kan de instelling niet updated. Controleer je verbinding" Basically: it cannot be added as I need to check my connection.

Re: Easiest way to get google home connected to domoticz?
I used Homebridge until Yesterday.but it has much problems.
Now i switched to controlicz. I subcribed it for one year. (25 euro) and i can say it is realy every cent worth.
Google reads also now temp and humidity
Wirh Homebridge only temp.
Selector switches are shown as remotes in goole home app.
Door and window sensors are present in google home app (as an shield but i can ask google if there is any window or door open)
And how fast Google reacts on commands like switch the light on is realy Nice.
I use controlicz the first day today and im satisfacted how fast google response to the commands and now i can use al my sensors not only temp and Light it is realy the 25 euro / year worth.
By Homebridge welcome controlicz
