I had been under the mistaken impression that the Logitech Media Server only worked with proprietary gadgets, so hadn't checked it out. I installed it standalone on a Raspberry Pi3 together with Dashticz, and it runs very well. On the Pi, the hardest part was getting the external USB sound card to be recognized, but that's not unusual.

You're welcome! This looks great!

Hi

Don't know how to do this other than with this non-typical setup, but here's some info.

The Dashticz server runs on a separate Pi4 from the kiosk display, which is also on a Pi4 running OpenBox. On the server, I have Shinobi installed to transcode the video streams, which are displayed in frames in the Chromium client browser, as well as the just-added Logitech server and Node-Red.
Both the server and the client work reasonably intensively, so I don't think this setup is feasible on a single device tablet-type setup.

Regarding internet streams, modern browsers don't like displaying third-party content in an IFrame due to CORS considerations. I had to use an nginx proxy to do this, even with some local content.

My dashboard on a touchscreen display is supposed to increase the WAF... so I focussed on putting only the essentials and the one we could need daily

Nice!
What's your plan with the empty area in the middle?
Rain forecast or recent news might further improve WAF.
The weather forecast on the next holiday location is also always appreciated :)

The green ring color in the upper right dial seems to be wrong. Any specifics in you dial block definition that may cause this?

I was willing to wait some days/weeks to see what was missing or can be improved to decide.

Yes I don't know why, here is the block definition:

Code: Select all

blocks['Conso Maison'] = {

    type: 'dial',
    values: [
        {
        value: 'Usage',
        addClass: 'primary',
        decimals: 0,
        unit: 'W',
        isNeedle: true
        },
        {
        idx: '193',
        value: 'Usage',
        label: 'SPA',
        decimals: 0,
        unit: 'W',
        isNeedle: false
        }
    ],
    width: 6,
    min: -2000,
    max: 8000,
    setpoint: 0,
    showring: true,
    showunit: true,

Can you post your config.js so we can better understand where it goes wrong.
You can put your code in the full editor by choosing </>

It's the code from a few years ago , some of the things do not work anymore (work in progress as i said)

The config.js has several conflicting variables.
I would advice to start with just a simple config with just only the graph and see if it solves your problem.
Use the following settings if you wanna use your own layout:

config['auto_positioning'] = 0;
config['use_favorites'] = 0;
Blah blah blah

config['auto_positioning'] = 0;
config['use_favorites'] = 0;
was already implemented like that

I know there are some conflicts , the file was from the beginning some 2 years ago

My dashticz dashboard showing on a touchscreen display in my hallway. I use it as an alarm control panel and it shows some information about weather, traffic and latest news on my way out. So I can grab an umbrella or take the bike instead of the car :)

I also installed an RFID reader in the wall sockets below the screen to disengage the alarm system with an NFC tag.
The screen is switched on when the PIR sensor (high on the wall in the corner) detects motion or when the front door is opened. It switches off after 30 seconds when there is no more motion detected.

Hello All,
does anyone know if it could be possible to have a New Calendar block with fixed height (some events will not be displayed) and give the possibility to scroll inside the block to display hidden events ?
Could be a nice feature to have the calendar block always fixed size and scrolling ability if too many events to fit inside the block height.
Your opinion ?
Thank you
