Hi all,
quite new on this forum and a newbie with Domoticz too, but heave done a lot of reading and trying.
I want to control my Oase pump, and light controls of my garden pond.
I know the control-box (FM-master 3) uses some kind of X10 protocol, but it is a not the standard protocol somehow.
I contacted the supplier of my RFXtrx 433E and he supplied me the hex files needed to get the pump and lights ON/OFF.
In the dedicated software (RFXmngr) I can send commands linke dim an bright too.
If selected Lighting 1-X10, and select "dim" the pump really "dimms" (decreases its flow).
If I select the X10 protocol within Domoticz, I dont see the options "dim" or "bright" available. That is a pitty - It would save me a lot of money if I could
So my questions are:
- Does anyone know the dim+bright commands of the X10 protocol?
- Dim/bright is functional from within RFXmngr, but how do I get the same command from Domoticz send to my RFXtrx 433E?
- Does X10 have a command, that makes is possible to go to a certain amount of dim/bright? (e.g.: set dim at 50%)
- if not, is there an option for dimming within Domoticz, for a device at the dashboard with a simple "+" or "-" (for bright/dim)
- Is it possible to send these commands, if not available within Domoticz (some kind of script/command, but I'm not a script-kiddy)
Hope someone has got a clue for me

Re: X10 dim/bright command
Hi, dimming in the x10 protocol is not supported...and as far as I know it will never be.

Re: X10 dim/bright command
With rfxmngr it works!
Seems to be different types of X10 anyway.
This is a link that also shows it is possible: https://github.com/hollie/misterhouse/wiki/x10-dimming

Re: X10 dim/bright command
Oke, thanks for the reply.
Sorry to hear it is not possible - and I have to look for other solutions.
At this stage Domoticz is not very usefull for me - other then switching KAKU on/off..... not really worth the (time+hardware)investment.
X10 partially supported, groups partially works, sub/slave partially works, sliders at the dashboard dont function, no run time calculations.
And as I understand there is no goal to improve further, unfortunatly.
So "disappointment" is more or less an understatement in my case.

Re: X10 dim/bright command
Hello Frank,
I also have an oase filter and pump, without an fm master. What exactly do you use to control it? I used the X10 protocol in the early days and believe I have a tranceiver somwhere lying around. Could you specify your setup and did you manage to get it to work?
I have a loxone domotics system which I want to connect.
Thank you
Tim
