Zigbee Light Switch Recommendation

Post by solarboy »

Good afternoon.

I wonder if anyone can recommend 2 way/gang powered/wired and routing light switches that are confirmed to work with zigbee2mqtt. I am looking for something that continues to work if the mesh goes down and can also act as a router.

I have found the list of supported devices but most of them are unavailable or a bit expensive. I would prefer something with physical rocker switches and not "touch" but I am not too fussy about that. Reliability is paramount.

The best I have found so far is
https://www.amazon.de/-/en/dp/B08Z45FF6 ... _lig_dp_it
but I couldn't find much more. I am based in Portugal and prefer not to buy outside the EU.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions !

I ended up buying...

https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B08Y8B ... UTF8&psc=1

But it didn't pair at all with the controller. Hopefully this information will help someone else not make the same mistake.

I m using deconz on my side, but have you ask to z2m github ? Tuya are known, adding a new device often ask for adding 2/3 line of code now.

I hadn't thought of asking on the github but I will now. Since my last post I have ordered a Xiaomi Aqara H1 which seems to have support; I'll know when it arrives. Thanks for your reply, much appreciated.

I use a device that presents it self as https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/devices/TS00 ... uya-ts0002 and that works perfect, it needs 230V and actuates a relay.
The physical dimension are as the device you bought.
It is this one: https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/10050022 ... 4c4dmhXSJZ

The casing looks exactly the same yes, although the LEDs are blue and there is no brand or model number or even RF information on the sticker on the back. It's actually a shame because it's got a nice action and isn't too flimsy. When I set it in pairing mode right next to the controller it is invisible to the controller with no mentions in the log.

Look here: https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/how_tos/how_ ... vices.html and here https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/how_tos/how_ ... vices.html
It might be that your device acts as so many others, but not yet been 'discovered' as such.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately there is no sign of the pairing process mentioned in step 1 of that link. It is highly possible the device is non-functional, it does seem to have a dubious pedigree (No brand, no manual, sent direct from China, no quibble Amazon return).
