MQTT didn't start
Hello everyone,
I'm running a domoticz on a raspberrypi 4. The domoticz is up to date on the last version. I run on the same machine mosquitto, node-red, grafana.
I'm using node-red to send data to domoticz threw mosquitto. Everything was working fine till a few month ago. I had no time to check so only this WE I see in Domoticz logs that it can't connect to Mosquitto due to password problem RC=5 (I have a username and password on mosquitto).
Even by putting again the user and password it was still saying the same thing in the logs.
So I update Domoticz, erase the MQTT to LAN connection and made a new one. Now I can't read anything about MQTT in the logs. I'm quite sure the connection didn't start. I try everything I can imagine but now I have no idea.
Do you have any Idea where the problem comes from ?
I'm sure about my mosquitto user name and password. I test it and it works on MQTT clients.
Thanks a lot for your answers.

Check viewtopic.php?f=6&t=36171 to get the logs back (enable debug in logging)

Re: MQTT didn't start
Hello,
I think my problem didn't came from MQTT but Python. When I look the about page in domoticz I have : Python Version: None.
I have python and Libpython v3.7 installed on the system. I checked google and I'm afraid I have to reinstall domoticz except If you have a solution.
Thanks a lot

Re: MQTT didn't start
Please reboot your system and check again, also on the Domoticz log about Python because you did not do anything with Python.
Reinstalling Domoticz will not solve the Python issue.

Re: MQTT didn't start
The python-dev removes the logs problems but still Python Version: None in the About page and MQTT still didn't work even after a reboot of the server.

Re: MQTT didn't start
Please check if you set the event system to active. [Setup][Settings][Other]
If it is not set you will see
On the about page and you will not see any reference to the Python EventSystem or to the (Python) PluginSystem n the domoticz log.
MQTT in domoticz is not depending on Python so if MQTT does not work it is because of another reason.
Debian buster, bullseye on RPI-4, Intel NUC.

Thank you for your help.
The event system is active
On the hardware I put also a RFlink Gateway USB and noting happen either. It's like if all what I put in Hardware wasn't working.

Re: MQTT didn't start
If you checked all the usual suspects (browser and appcache, database integrity, power supply, sd card, any unexpected messages in the log with debug log activated) and found nothing then I guess it's time to make a backup of your database, plugins and scripts and redo the install, following the guide on the wki
