IKEA wireless dimmer help

Post by Dave21w »

This is some what annoying, I have an IKEA zigbee bulb in my bedside lamp and one of the round wireless switches (the ones that use inertia and direction to trigger the lamp) It has been working fine for ages, I used to control the lamp from the switch or domoticz (Conbee II with Phoscon, deCONZ and the deconz plugin) The battery went flat in the remote so i replaced it, then it didn't work so I decided to repair it, after which only the switch can control the lamp and not Domoticz/Phoscon, repairing the lamp with Phoscon then stops the switch from working (switch is present in Phoscon) No matter what I do I can't seem to get control from both but it used to work - does anyone know how I should be paring these as it's driving me nuts, I obviously managed it before !

TIA
Dave

I think you mix inclusion procedure.
- long press is for direct bind.
- 4 time short press if for zigbee inclusion.

The first one, link the remote to a bulb, without adding it in the zigbee network, and can make the lamp leave it too.

Thanks for the reply Thorgal789, after much messing about last night I am now further forward but it's still not right, if I turn the lamp on with Domoticz it works but the lamp status in Phoscon does not change and the reverse is also true, turning it on in Phoscon works but Domoticz doesn't change state and turning it on with the remote (yes that now works too) doesn't show a change in Phoscon or Domoticz :?

Looks like more investigation is required when I get home later, my wife's bedside light however works perfectly - probably a good job really or I would be in serious trouble

Yep, there is something strange, phoscon and domoticz are using the same websocket notification, not possible they are not synchronised after a page refresh (can happen just after the command, the plugin don't work exaclty like phoscon)

Well I didn't have time to investigate the issue during the week so decided to leave it till the weekend however thursday it had decided to fix it's self, I can find nothing to indicate why it wasn't working properly and nothing pointing towards something that has changed to resolve it. I don't really feel inclined to unpair it to try again just in case I'm back to square one again.
