Hi all,
I got this little issue with an set of relays, they start to switch on and of randomly and then the keep on clicking till I cut the power.
First I had an nodemcu with an four channel relay attached to this powered b 5v 2,4ma worked fine for a little while till this started. I then changed out the power-supply, this was only a short therm fix, I replaced the relays and after a day also replaced the nodumcu for an wemos D1 mini. every time the same issue pops up, I have now setup an wemos D1 mini with two relay shields to it and it worked fine for about two days and the same again.
The hardware is in an proper ip box stored, powersupply is good tested it by changing it out to an divergent setup and this one is stable. I'm getting slowly desperate because this is so unreliable and almost wishing for a dumb setup for my garage door.
All these items where powered by tasmota, just having this setup four switches attached to four relays (two actual)
Any of you had issues like this? and what was your fix/solution?

Is the d1 powered from micro usb or directly with the wires ?
Cause if it s from the wires the 5v pin from d1 still not connected, and you should use a 3,3v power source.
Not all digital pins are suitables for relay on d1 mini, the best i ever choose is D5.
When i look your picture i see that you are using 5vdc relay, and the d1 output is max voltage is only 3,3v ( it s not enough voltage to properly commute the relay). You should instead use 3,3vdc relay modules, or add transistors if you want to use it with yours.

Re: Wemos D1/Nudemcu relais clicking
I'm running them from micro usb. The wierd thing is that from the four relais it's totally random witch one starts to flicker around, ill have a look around if I can find them relays in 3volt.vega6763 wrote: ↑Sunday 17 January 2021 21:26 Is the d1 powered from micro usb or directly with the wires ?

Thanks.

The bests outputs to use for relay (best2worst D1, D2, D5, D6, D7, optionnaly if no more choise D8. Try to change it if not one of them.
Have you unsolder the pins D1 on 3 others relay and remapped them, cause i know this shields are commonly driven on D1 pins ?

I have used the following with success. The Relays are Wemos Relay Shields. They are definitely 5V (do not work with the 3V supply). I have found that they are stable and have not had an issue. I used an iPhone charger to supply the power (think it's 5W/1Amp). The relays have been soldered to work on D1 (default) & D2. I also have 2x, 4x and 8x relays boards (https://www.berrybase.de/en/raspberry-p ... -41?c=2242 that all work equally well without issues. Your components look like copies of the Wemos products, so perhaps that may be an issue (poor quality), although you have same problem with NodeMCU (I also have used these without issue); so possible the relays are the problem, solder joints, or pin connections

Re: Wemos D1/Nudemcu relais clicking
My wemos are from "makershop.de" I would think they are pretty ok. The wierd thing is that the nodemcu have the same issues I'm almost thinking it has some to do with the resent firmware of tasmota (what i doubt it is)
Any-way I'm gone dump these wemos prints, I'm regularly multiple weeks from home and I want to rely on the installed hardware at home. So more playing around to do
