Hi!
i just bought 2 pcs of the Fyrtur blinds, im about to install them, but i thougt that i ask here before i try to pair them up to domoticz with zigate.
as the youtube videos shows it seems like the remotes that comes with the blinds is paired to them, so they will work out of the box, but is it possible to also pair the blinds with domoticz and keep the connection to the remotes, or can the blinds only handle one " remote" at the time?

Re: Ikea Fyrtur blinds
All good question, I think you'll be one of the first pairing it with Zigate
So make sure that you can retreive the Domoticz logs so we can help you to make sure of a full smooth integration, and strongly recommend to be on the branch 'beta' of the plugin

Re: Ikea Fyrtur blinds
i have installed and paired the blinds and everything works great exept the remotes that came with the blinds, it seems like the blinds can only be paired to one controller at the time, so the remote controls are useless as an direct link to the blinds, but i tried to pair the remotes to domoticz and they are paired to domoticz also, but the switch in domoticz wont change when i push the physical switch, i cant really figure out why.
any suggestions?

Re: Ikea Fyrtur blinds
It might be the case that the remote works like all Ikea remotes.
If you have already pair then with Zigate, you might want to associate then with the blind , it could create a group.
Is there any documentation you could share ?
For the Ikea remotes, you have most of the time 2 ways:
- Reset -(pairing with a controller) -> Pressing 4 times the pairing button
- Pairing with device -> Pressing a long time with the pairing button

Re: Ikea Fyrtur blinds
thank you for your answer, yes i have paired the remote to domoticz, but domoticz dont react when i push the buttons of the remote.
i have tried to ad a group in the zigate plugin, but i really dont understand how i should do it, if i choose the remote in group management it doesnt get stored in the zigate plugin, after pushing the validate button and going back to group management the group is gone.
i cant figue out how this works.

Re: Ikea Fyrtur blinds
You mean if i have documented the installation?
No i didnt do that, it was pretty simple though, about 4 screws to hold the metal holders, and then a simple click mechanism to connect the blind itself.
then to pair the blind you just start the inclusion of the Zigate and then push the 2 buttons on the blind at the same time and youre done.
With the blinds it also came as i wrote above, 1 pcs of on/off switch and a zigbee repeater,
the on/off switch is impossible to get to work with domoticz, i managed to pair it but the buttons dont work.
and then the repeater.. i can start by saying that i have 2 pcs of Trådfri repeaters that i bought earlier to extend the range of the zigbee network, these two shows as a simple unit in domoticz, but nothing more, they do the job.
But the ones that came with the blinds looks exactly as the ones i bought earlier, but they are already paired with the blind, i tried to reset them and use them as a repeater for the whole network but they doesnt seem to work that way, i can pair them to domoticz, but they dont show as a unit, the same in the zigate webpage, there i can see them, but after a reboot of the system they are gone.
so there is something strange about them.

Re: Ikea Fyrtur blinds
So I think you need to go this way, this is the way Ikea remote works usally.
For the Ikea remotes, you have most of the time 2 ways:
- Reset -(pairing with a controller) -> Pressing 4 times the pairing button
- Pairing with device -> Pressing a long time with the pairing button
Then you have to enable Groups in the Plugin, and then restart the plugin so it can scan the group membership, so you should see the group coming into plugin and domoticz.
Then once in teh Web Admin page you go to Group, you should see the group where the Blind belong too, and then you simple, enable the Zigate to be part of the Group
and then restart once more the group
After the restart, you should be able to see the widget created during the airing of the Switch to Zigate behaving in Domoticz as you manipulate it.

Re: Ikea Fyrtur blinds
Just for future reference;
If you are using Moroen's Ikea Tradfri plugin with the Ikea Fyrtur and Kadrilj rollerblinds and you want to control their position through a dzVents script, use .dimTo(level%), works like a charm.
A few minutes after I managed to add the blinds to the Ikea Tradfri hub, the blinds appeared in Domoticz.

Re: Ikea Fyrtur blinds
Hi, I can confirm the same issue as discussed in this thread: Ikea Fyrtur remote that comes together with repeater in same blinds package seems to be at the moment useless when blinds are used with Domoticz.
The binding process described above works. However,
1. When binding the remote with Domoticz, I can't make it bind to the blinds anymore.
2. Only when you bind the remote *first* with repeater, then you can make the remote to bind with blinds to control blinds.
Now...when you bind the remote with repeater and then with blinds, they seem to form their own ecosystem and you cannot bind to Domoticz without resetting the devices.
When all three are binded with Domoticz, groupt thing doesn't appear automatically. Blinds can be controlled from Domoticz and repeater is seen in mesh. Remote doesn't seem to do anything, it just sits with Domoticz as switch widget.
When you try to add group manually in zigate plugin, those three are not available. Maybe you need to bind remote to additional stuff in order to have zigbee group?
I guess it is no use buying Ikea bulb just to be able to bind the remote with additional stuff? Then I could
1. bind remote with repeater
2. bind remote with blinds
3. bind remote with bulb
4. bind bulb with Domoticz (if bulbs allow multiple binds...)
5. see if this automagically creates "zigbee group" in Domoticz zigate plugin?
