Zigbee groups across device brands

I know zigbee2mqtt supports groups whereby you can e.g. tie an IKEA remote to an IKEA lamp/socket and switch it without the need for zigbee2mqtt.

Does this functionality also work across brands e.g. could a sonoff motion sensor be grouped to an IKEA lamp to switch it?

Interested to hear if anyone has tried it.

Yes it works. I grouped Ikea bulbs and a TuYa switch.
