Try this tool. Very basic, but it always does the trick.

I moved to HomeAssistant. It was fun while it lasted!

Thank you for getting back to me and pointing me in the right direction! (I am not being sarcastic here, Janco did so in a private message)

And this was the best link to the software as this IS the Zensys tool that people are referring to. Thanks! did the trick!

This time, I was happy running Domoticz on a Windows machine. This way, I can easily just install the software and control my Z-Wave stick. I made a backup and removed the node that kept on popping up! Perhaps this tooling helps me controlling the Z-Wave network and devices better.

No it is not the correct address, the tool is from silicon labs.
Here is one link (you will find many on the web)

I am using the older version but principles should remain the same

Euh.... I was trying to do that as well. And you need to go through that "simplicity studio" stuff to get PC controller 5. Do you see any advantages of PC Controller 5 over 4.78?

I don't know I am not using 5, only using 4.78 and it works very well.

Yeah, it seems to the trick just fine. I finally got to delete a node that has been there for months! Makes you think about the other Z-wave stuff that doesn't go too well

Make sure you stop the Domoticz service before starting the tool. Otherwise it looks like there is no Z-Wave stick

You must use the tool and stick on the same system, so in this case both on the same pc with Win10

Ah, yes, like that. It looks for a local stick indeed. In case of the Aeotec stick the configuration is stored on the stick itself, so it should be fairly simple to connect it to the Windows machine running the tool

It is to long ago for me.

So, you selected a node, ticked query override, clicked "send NOP", clicked "Node isfailed" and clicked "Remove failed node"?

Or are you unable to get that far?

Good to hear!

I have used it quite often the past few days as I am troubleshooting Z-Wave in Domoticz in general.
What it comes down to is basically this: after adding a node, the node and its devices are added and work just fine. But over the coarse of a few days, weeks or months weird things start happening.
I will open a separate topic on this
