Roller shutter wrong status

Post by maastrix »

Hello,

I did a fresh install of domoticz, homebridge and e-domoticz and mqtt.
Everything works fine but for my roller shutters the status is wrong.

domoticz shows open when open, closed when closed
homekit show open when closed, closed when open.

When i set the roller shutter to 30% in domoticz it also shows as 30% in homekit, so only open / closed goes wrong.

Does anyone know how i can correct this?

im on domoticz V4.10436

Have you clicked "edit" and tried to change the switchtype to "blinds inverted" or "blinds percentage inverted"? I think you will have to restart homebridge to be able to see the change.

Yeah i did try blinds percentage inverted.
The thing is, only the status is wrong, not the position.

When i say siri close blinds, they are closed,, but show as open in homekit.

What device are you using to control your shutters?

I just set my shutters to "blinds percentage" (they are normally set to inverted). The status in homebridge doesn't change with this setting.
If you use zwave, check in the openzwave control panel if the switch status is on or off. If my shutters are open, the status is on and is shown correctly. You say you did a fresh install. Did your shutters work correctly before? Are you sure you didn't inverse the up and down wires?

I set them to inverted and rebooted the pi.
Now domoticz an homekit says they are closed when they are open, en now when i say,, Siri open the blind they close, so this made it worse.
openzwave control panel is off when open.

I just created 2 dummy blinds. One "blinds" and one "blinds inverted". I restarted homebridge, and both work as they should.
What happens if you set up a dummy blinds switch? Is the status in homebridge correct (don't forget to restart with sudo service homebridge restart)?

If it's incorrect with a dummy too, you will have to wait for someone with more knowledge :).

Hello Maastrix

I have exactly the same issue
=> roller shutters are ok for several years into domoticz
=> they are revert (displayed as closed when they are opened irl) into homebridge

Homebridge is connected to Domoticz via Mosquitto
All are installed on a rpi3b and updated

Did you find any way to diagnose or solve this issue please ?

Thank you very much for your answer

Lo
