Hello everyone,
I am trying to figure out whether I can use Domoticz to regulate my floor heating system. I have the following setup:
Hot water is provided bij cityheating ("stadsverwarming")
A Watts WFHC-MASTERH controller with a C-bus slave module controls the different zones (http://www.watts-klimaatregeling.nl/ima ... -GB-NL.pdf).
Per zone a Watts 22cx 230NC2 actuator regulates the flow of hot water
I can change the roomtemperature with a WFTH basic RF thermostat. The living room has a Basic LCD H/C thermostat.
My question: How could I use Domoticz to regulate my floor heating system. Which steps would I have to take, what would I have to buy to make this work? Are there examples of working setups (I couldn't find them in the forum).
Your help is greatly appriciated!

Hi Geert,
Have you made any progress on controlling your floor heating system with Domoticz? We have Watts Vision System as well and like to tune the system based on weather forecasts, but it looks like a closed system/protocol.
Thnx!

Re: Watts floor heating system with Domoticz?
Hello Geert,
I have an oldfashion system with CV heater, radiators and floorheating (5 groups)
I found this Small Virtual thermostat program, what is mentioned in the section.Heating/Cooling.
I have setup several temp sensor, and still want to setup more temp readers for each floorheating group so i can measure te return flow temp from each floorsection ( for equal heating of the groups and fine tuning the regulatorvalves)) Installed the program and gives me several SVT switches. Output to heater is a virtual switch, who I gone use to control the CV on/off
Just setup this system, to see of this will help me to control the heating in my home.
2 possible problems
a: with the on/off virtual switch I lose the CV Heater saving options, beacuase on/off means burning at 100%, not 60 % or lower.
b: because I have a 70m2 marble floor with floorheating, you cannot easy lower/higher the temperature in the livingroom, because before you wil measure a temp increase of 1 or 2 degrees, it will take a lot of heating capacity. So you want to keep the temp here very stable.
For in the winter I probable need to add a bypass in the CV system, so that the radiotors can warm up on request and the floorheating is bypassed.
Trail and error: I cannot do much at this time because summer time is coming so do not need the heating.
Hopes this helps you a bit in the right direction
Jack

Hey Geert, I also have a Watts floorheating system like yours and was wondering what you ended up using to get it working? (software/hardware and such)
Cheers,
