Re: Dashticz Calendar - Features, Fixes & Updates
Hi there, i hope this is in the right topic, not my intention to offend anyone.
I just did the beta auto installation on a raspberry. Everything works as it should be. The only thing that i do not get going is the calendar feature. I am using the i.cloud calandar but it keeps giving me an error code. This is what it reports;
js/components/calendar.js:144 Error in response from calendar with icalurl ./vendor/dashticz/ical/?time=1596628985500&maxitems=10&history=0&url=https://p57-caldav.icloud.com/published/2/xxvery long number xx
I tested with a google calendar and that is workin fine. I can also share my i.cloud calendar with google and that works fine also. If i put the icalurl's in a browser the file is downloaded. Any suggestions to what i can do next (besides using the google calendar)?

Re: Dashticz Calendar - Features, Fixes & Updates
Can you open DevTools in Chrome (F12), and refresh Dashticz.
Then on tab DevTools->Network filter on 'ical'
Click on the network request for your iCLoud agenda.
What is the Status Code (you find it on the Headers tab.)?
Can you also post the response data? (You can also send it to me by PM)

Unless Google have changed things in the past year, I don't believe Google will allow you to share your Google family calendar, only your private personal calendar. I could be wrong - worth checking.

Re: Dashticz Calendar
Beste allemaal,
wat werkt dashticz fantastisch.
Geen hulp nodig gehad maar gewoon proberen en beetje hier op forum van alles volgen en je begrijpt al snel hoe een en ander werkt.
Top ga zo door.
maar nu loop ik toch tegen een probleem aan;
heb ook al geprobeerd aan te roepen met url:'https://calendar.google.com/calendar/em ... xxxxxxxxxx'}
hartelijk dank op voorhand voor het antwoord ook als antwoord is dat dit niet werkt....

Re: Dashticz Calendar - Features, Fixes & Updates
I use google calendar and notice that individual repetition does not shown in the calendar block in the right way! I put inside my google calendar every two weeks at Wednesday a date, but in calendar block is shown weekly at Wednesday. I'm a bit confused! Is that just me? Problem at google calendar or calendar block?
Any help appreciated.

And you PHP version as reported in Dashticz->Settings->Info tab?
On some systems the old calendar module has issues with recurring events
I've added a new calendar module, but that requires PHP 7.1 or higher

Re: Dashticz Calendar - Features, Fixes & Updates
It seems to be a bug in the 'new' ical library that is used by Dashticz.sailmich wrote: ↑Wednesday 11 November 2020 15:55 I use google calendar and notice that individual repetition does not shown in the calendar block in the right way! The 'old' ical library seems to not have this issue.
The old ical library had issues in the past as well, but most of them have been fixed in the mean time.
So it seems that switching to the old ical library might be a solution.
In the latest beta I've added the block parameter 'method' to the calendar block. By adding 'method:0' to the calendar block definition the 'old' ical library will be used. Could you test?
I've implemented this in the new calendar block only. So you must add type: 'calendar' to the block definition as well.

Re: Dashticz Calendar - Features, Fixes & Updates
Hi,
For as far I can see is it only possible to integrate the google famliy calender by using an iframe.
This works fine, the calendar is shown. But it is shown in the basic google calender colors white/blue.
As my dashboard has a black theme, the family calendar looks not nice with the white colors.
Anybody had some luck with changing the css like done here:
http://www.webdesignerdepot.com/2012/04 ... r-website/
Or does that not apply for dashticz? The css code part is still a lot of abracadabra for me

Layout 0 and 1 follow the design of the dashboard. Layout 2 is different.
Thx a lot!
I wondering if it's possible to make the background of the calendar invisible. So that just lines, dates and appointments are visible? Second the frame doesn't fit to the calendar when using less then 5 weeks, is there a way to fix that? Thx a lot!

Re: Dashticz Calendar - Features, Fixes & Updates
@Lokonli Due to Covid-19 my calendars are now empty. Is it possible to have a custom message of in the calendar block when it’s empty?
If not, can that option be added?
Thanks again.
