Re: Domoticz App
Hello,
Can anyone assist me on how to fill the server details in the iOS app? Please!
I am far from IT person, but I managed to set up a RPi with Zigbee sniffer. The platform works fine from the RPi browser, but I cannot access it from any other computer or the iOS app.
Please!
Alex

Re: Domoticz App
Same problem here. I've reinstalled the app but no help.rtfmjoey wrote: ↑Wednesday 04 November 2020 6:55 It seems there is a bug in version 0.2.253; I was greeted with the notification wizard after the update and needed to fill in my server details again. After filling them in, discovery found all devices etc but wheb saving I get an message 'incorrect settings detected' and the wizard starts over.
I've uninstalled the app/removed all cached data and reinstalled but the issue persists. It seems that more users are experiencing the same issue.

Excellent, it was so simple I wasn’t expecting to do this by this way, Thx
But I am facing a bug: when I click to put on favorites it says it is removed, but it never says that it is added again...

Re: Domoticz App
can someone explain to me how to get notifications working in the app?
Tested and worked with "pushover"
I chose the paid app for the notifications. would be bad if this doesn't work ...

Re: Domoticz App
It looks like there is a problem with correct user profile behavior or even permissions. I've created a separate user profile for my daughter and put a few switches on her panel. In a browser and in Android app it works just fine - after logging in to her account I can see exactly the switches I should. But in IOS version it shows the panel configuration like for the admin account.
Can anyone confirm that bug ?

Re: Domoticz App
Any updates for this? Like the multiserver feature that is on android?
Re: Domoticz App
From my experience, put the IP address and port in the relevant fields. leave Username and Password blank. Then verify the settings. That worked for me, once I's got the Windows firewall out of the way on the Domoticz box. (I had also added the local network in the 'Settings/Local Networks' area)

Re: Domoticz App
I cannot get Domoticz app connection settings working when not on my home WiFi. (external acces)
Though i can connect with any web browser to my domoticz server (my own ip address with ports 8080 or 80 or 443).
What are the right settings to have the app working from external acces?

Re: Domoticz App
I've set it up such that internally my DNS resolves to the local IP, and externally to the WAN IP, and forwarded the port Domoticz uses to the internal IP. I also ensured I have a legitimate cert (self signed certs do not work with the app!!!) on my Domoticz server. That way it works wherever I am, as the DNS name matches the cert, and is identical whether inside or outside my LAN.BurningTyre wrote: ↑Tuesday 01 June 2021 16:30 I cannot get Domoticz app connection settings working when not on my home WiFi. I would strongly recommend against having the non-encrypted (80/8080) access open from the Internet, as it is way to easy to intercept and collect authentication information that way!
(Sorry, I work in Internet Security, am a CISSP, CISM, C|EH, CTGA and more, so I am a 'bit' anal about security practices. I'll leave it at this one remark though, it is your home network, not mine!)

Hi FearNaBoinne
I use the Domoticz App on Android 11. Locally this works at home very good. But when I try to use the app with WireGuard VPN I got the message Oops something went wrong, please check your connection.
Connecting with VPN Wireguard and the chrome browser to Domoticz works like a charm. How can I get the App connecting via VPN WireGuard.
Greetings McMelloW

Re: Domoticz App
Hello All Domoticz Client Users,
I posted the following in this sub-forum viewtopic.php?f=36&t=36706
concerning the fact that notifications are not working for me anymore. There is another user with similar issues but it's hard to believe that there are only two people that share the same issue. Here is the link to his original post viewtopic.php?f=6&t=36653
Domoticz Server application or Rasbian related packages could be the source of our misery. My RPi has all the latest vewrsion. However, could there be something related to the latest update to Mark Heinis application. I make a habit to update all my iPhone applications when they are available. According to my Settings\iPhone Storage\Domotizc is version 0.1.55. Apple store shows Version 1.75.
The common error we get is
I am not not a developer and just because I read a few pages about Firebase Cloud messaging will certainly not make me an expert; however, I wonder if the this error message is given because the client does not respond as expected.
Does someone have any ideas?
Regards,
El Zorro Vega

Re: Domoticz App
Since 2022.2 update all my blinds are not working through the app.
To open it sends an 'off' command, and to close it sends an 'on' command (inverted!).
To open it need to send 'on' or 'open'.
My wife is not going to like that it is not working anymore....

Re: Domoticz App
Probably because the latest update changed the inverted blinds behaviors... If you had inverted blinds, you may have to go in to ensure they are correctly marked as normal blinds with the 'inverted' property set.

Re: Domoticz App
@BurningTyre
A lot of us also encountered this issue, the only proper way is to empty the cache of your domoticz, browser, try open/close from the web page, etc.
Finally you should find new icons that you'll be able to toggle if need (ie. inverted, ...)
It will work

Re: Domoticz App
Hi all,
Is the iOS app still being maintained?
I have a serious problem: I use Cloudflare tunnel to access my remote Domoticz server hosted on a Raspberry Pi. This means that Cloudflare is acting as a proxy. When you DNS lookup the hostname, you get 2 IP adresses, and I suppose that this totally throws off the Domoticz iPad app… I cannot even start the app, it just purely crashes after having entered the server details.
Has anyone experienced this?
Thanks!

Re: Domoticz App
Hi! For a couple of years I run the domoticz app in my iPhone. However, I try to install domoticz for a friend of mine ... in the app after filling in all the server settings it keeps saying "unautherized". Any idea how to solve this?
