With an update of Domoticz all the custom made icons are disappeared.
Is it not possible to make an update/program that keep the existing custom made icons?

I too have some custom icons but I cannot replicate this behavior. Only the icons already included in the domoticz package are overwritten. My custom ones (for example the ones named MoonPhases*.png) are untouched when I update.McJohn wrote: Thursday 11 June 2020 9:54 With an update of Domoticz all the custom made icons are disappeared.

Can you describe in a bit more detail how you update and what you see.
Debian buster, bullseye on RPI-4, Intel NUC.

Thanks for the quick reply.
The custom made icons are into the directory:
/home/pi/domoticz/www/images
The last update from Domoticz 2020.2 (build 12067) to Domoticz 2020.2 (build 12154) (done with the WEB GUI),
vanished all the custom made icons

We made for example some Beacon icons (Beacon.png). They are all gone after this update.

Re: Why are custom made icons disappeared with an update of Domoticz?
HI,
I do not recognize this as well. Never seen this.
Running on the same build (12154), upgraded with the WebGUI
Both standard icons and custom icons are installed in the same directory, ~/domoticz/www/images.
All standard icons are owned by user pi and group pi, with rights 644, while the custom icons are owned by root:root, with rights 640.
Regards

Re: Why are custom made icons disappeared with an update of Domoticz?
Thanks for your contribution.
I now see that the problem is not the icon files by themselves (they exist, sorry) but it was the switch_icons.txt file.
The (last) names of the custom made icons in this file were disappeared ..
after the update to
Raspbian Buster 10 Linux raspberrypi 4.19.118-v7+ #1311 (April version)
or the update to Domoticz build (12154).
"Rain;Rain;Rain" was suddenly the last (standard) text and after replacing the beacon text AND a restart of Domoticz, the beacons images were back again! (instead of the lamp).
There is really something strange going on with this April version of Buster.

I'm going back asap to the January version.
Kind regards.

Re: Why are custom made icons disappeared with an update of Domoticz?
I do recognise this behaviour.
If I update Domoticz I have to backup switch_icons.txt in domoticz/www first, else this file is overwritten during update.
After the update I paste the extra (custom) line of icons into this file in again.
After a restart, the icons are back. But this is not how it should be in my opinion.

Domoticz 2020.1 (12230) on Raspberry Pi 3B with Raspian Buster. Besides Domoticz, Rpi is running Pi-Hole.
