Hey guys, is it just me or does this app still not work with the latest version of Domoticz?

UPDATE : Okay weird.... I had to fill in the "External" domoticz settings in the app even though I'm accessing from in my own network... It works now...

It seems like the external connetions isn't working anymore with dromotica, maybe because an update of domoticz?

I can also still login with the webinterface from an external location, I think it happened around version 2055.

No problem for me (but I'm accessing Domoticz services in HTTPS through nginx ... don't know if this helps)

In Domoticz settings, is "Security > Authentication > Basic-Auth" checked?

Dear Sebas,

Could you add the option to control a RGBW controller? In domoticz you will get a colour frame on which to select the desired colour. In the app it is only possible to put the RGBW on or off.

It also would be nice to get a floorplan.

The protected switches in the app see / treat as protected

Please
This is also something i would like to see. I have some virtual switches, which are meant not to be activated by hand. In the webinterface of Domoticz this works fine, it asks nicely for a password to prevent accidental clicking on the switch. However, in your app i can just turn on/off the virtual switches. This is unhandy, because this way my girlfriend can click the virtual switches by accident, and mess up the working of the events.

However i am not sure if you can fix this in your app, because if you look at the JSON commands (http://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Domoticz_API/JSON_URL's) and for example take the command which lists all the switches, the output doesn't mention anything about if the switch is protected or not.

I am using danffos live connect with domoticz. On web interface I can control temperature with our any problem.
But in dromotica when I go to utilities I can see the thermostat with the current temperature but I can not change it. There is a field to choose the new temperature but it does nothing. Further more on the bottom of the screen there is a notification showing up every 5 sec

"thermostat set to 4.578\u00B0"

Lucky for me it does not set this value.

Can you please look in to this problem?
Exactly the same problem for me (iSense Thermostat), any progress?. Changing the thermostat setpoint from the Domiticz interface works OK.

As i hate forwarding ports for every application i want to access from outside my network, i use a VPN connection.
However, i noticed that the Dromotica app won't work with VPN. It either says: " Server url not set.", or it just hangs at the blue background logo.

I verified the URL in the settings, and this is correct. And when i am connected to my VPN, and enter that URL in my browser, i can succesfully acces Domoticz. So the VPN is working like it should.

You need to set the Website Authentication to "Basic-Auth" in the Domoticz Application Settings.

There is a update for this app available in the app store. The authentication supports again the login page.

I have downloaded en tested the update after I changed the settings in domoticz.

Thnx for this update

Yes, I've released the update yesterday evening. It's available for download in the store and automatic updates should come in now or just download it manually from the store. I still need to put some finishing touches on it but I wanted to release it now as you guys have been waiting for it.

In the settings for Domoticz you'll need to indicate if you're using the basic-auth of login form method. That setting needs to match with what you've set in Domoticz itself.

I've read the requests and emails I got for new features, bugs and devices to support. Thanks all for your feedback and I'll work on them soon. I first want to focus on cleaning up the code of this app as it has grown out a lot and has become unmaintainable. It's what you get when you start to code without any real coding knowledge

The protected flag is included in the JSON for switches and scenes, the Wiki isn't very up-to-date. It was simple to include in the refactoring so I already implemented it. It will be in the next update that I just uploaded to the store.

Edit 2:
I've run into a bug causing errors when you use a SSL certificate that's not issued by a trusted CA like many of us do. I've fixed that and uploaded the new version to the store. The update should be coming your way soon.
