Only posible with a rfxcom transreceiver. <= Not expensive. Worth the money.

It looks like user 'Matis' on the Tweakers.net forum has made Domoticz working with a cheap 433Mhz transmitter/receiver from eBay.
But setting it up looks quite complex, so good luck

I have made rfxcom alternative from module RFM22 and ATmega1284p. Supported so far only a few protocols (ARC, NEXA, Lacrose TX3 TX4, OWL CM180, PT2262) . Pictures and info will come later.

Hi,

Sorry for bumping this old post. But where could I obtain a scheme for a cheaper 433 or 868 MHz transceiver to hook up to domoticz?
I'm able to use arduino etc and can buy the parts. But not really willing to spend 100 euro on rflink.

Thanks for the advise

I agree. When I bought it, the RFLink came almost fully assembled, only the transceiver and the antenna base had to be soldered on, which took a few minutes. After that it worked without a hitch.
Not sure where you got that number (100 Euro), I don't think RFLink was that expensive... more like 36,95.

The only thing missing is a little case to build it into, you could find one yourself or alternatively buy one from the same shop that sells the RFLink.

You can get an Arduino Mega from Asia for as low as 8 euros.
Grab a cheap 1 Euro chinese RF set, throw away the receiver.
Buy a decent rf receiver for 2-3 euros
Toss in another 3 euro for a small breadboard and some wire
and you have an RFLink for 15 euros..
