Downgrading to an older version

Post by Ittiz »

Ever since Domoticz switched to OpenZwave 1.6 on May 12th my system has not been working correctly, if at all. Only 1 of the bugs I have encountered have been fixed (I fixed it), in fact more get added all the time. I have to do a song and dance to get the thing started without hanging. Even then if I try to flip more than one switch using a group the software it crashes and then hangs on restart. The bugs were already reported to openzwave when I checked months ago, no one has fixed them and I don't have time to pick through the code and try and fix them myself. It's a train wreck, one that wasn't caused by Domoticz I know.

I'm sick and tired of it not working and want to roll back to an older version until most of this stuff has been fixed. The version I need to go back to is 4.10603 I believe. I already trying rolling back by compiling from source using Github. I followed the instructions for that including downloading and compiling openzwave ver 1.4. To no avail, it won't start up. Even though it says it does, nothing pops up in the browser when I connect and the log shows no activity beyond starting. Yes I also used an old back up of the database from the time. Also it never even attempts to load openzwave even though even though it sees it and includes it at compile time. Is there another way to roll back to that version?
