We use a "simple" HEM 1 with 1 fase.
But I think you are right.
See picture below from the manual.

Thanks - saw the same on online documentation, but wanted to make sure that I've really understood it correctly. Too bad, makes the purchase much less intriguing for a non-electrician (it's 75€+ for even a 5 minute visit of an electrician). Does anyone know any similar devices with 3-phase measurement and a possibility to detect the direction (import/export)?

There is a bug in Domotics for this Aeotec Home Energy Meter Gen 5:
When the power if off (no 230V anymore, also for the HEM!) it keeps displaying the last HEM update: ~230V, even if there is no power anymore...
We want to make a Blocky or LUA trigger when the power is available again (or gone) but that's impossible with this bad information.

And an upload of the manufactuer-SPECIFIC.xml file would also help

Hi all,

I got my home energy Gen 5 (one clamp) fitted and its reporting!

Only one thing is not working as espected. It can report the Voltage and Amps but without stetting the device to polling it just wont update the values
WITH polling it does update BUT. i get a timeout error in domotica

Code: Select all

2019-11-05 21:30:21.041 Status: OpenZWave: Received timeout notification from HomeID: 4118417576, NodeID: 2 (0x02)
I dont mind this as its working, but it shouldnt be the right way i guess...

Anyone knows what i can do about this?

UPDATE

So by changing the group output settings to:
Group 1 reports to : 15
Group 2 reports to: 0
Group 3 reports to: 0

You can calculate what the HEM reports with this Excel sheet:
https://aeotec.freshdesk.com/helpdesk/a ... 6039852024

fixed the "polling" issue. It now reports all 4 values every 5 secs

So ive been measuring it for one day now and found out: when checking the logs it says I did a total of 18KW in 24hrs. When i calculate this from the actual meter its around 13Kwh. When I look at the Device itself in the Node screen it has a total of 12Kwh. Which is closer to what its actually shown by the meter. Does anyone know why this is so different?

Update

When waking up this moring the Kwh log went from 18Kwh to -4Kwh...
Surely this must be a bug in domoticz?

How did you fix the polling? Or rather, fix so it reports every 5 seconds? Even with correct node settings I only get updates every 90 seconds in Domoticz.

Well, using the excel sheet you can fill in what the HEM5 needs to report to group 1
in this case its 15

then below the these settings you can set the interval for group 1 at 5 secs

I know, my issue is that the OZW control panel does show updates every 5 seconds, but whatever I do I can't get Domoticz to update the device values more often than every 90 seconds. Which means it doesn't trigger any events more often than every 90 seconds either.
