I have Domoticz running on a Rasperry PI 2 with a Razberry z-wave controller - it runs version 4.10717, and has 24 nodes known to it.
I have a Raspberry PI 4, with an Aeotec z-stick, attached via a small unpowered hub, which has included a Smart Switch 6 (not known to the other Domoticz) for testing purposes. It runs the Debian package of Domoticz from https://danielpocock.com/domoticz-packa ... an-fedora/
version 4.11020-2~bpo10+1
I put the old one - which should be the primary at the moment, into send configuration to secondary, and the new one into 'Receive Configuration' and I do now, after several attemps, see quite a few of the devices, and hope, but doing this a few times to get to see the full set, but I have some questions about what I should see, the answer to them might help others going down the same path.
1) I manually set the encryption key on the Secondary Domoticz to the same as the first - do I need to do this ?
2) Although the systems must be in communication, I do not see them in each other's list of nodes - should I see a node on the primary showing up as another controller and vice versa ?
3) The z-wave control panel on the secondary shows nothing - the entries for Home Id etc are blank. The primary shows a home Id and Controller mode as Primary - should the secondary show the same Home Id and a Controller Mode of Secondary ??
Trying to understand setting up z-wave Secondary
