Zigate and aqara in wall switch

Post by gerbenvanasselt »

Today I installed my aqara double button in wall switch. It was recognized by the Zigate as two separate on/off switches.
I also have a single switch aqara non in wall switch. That one is recognized by Zigate as a selector switch with one click, double - and long click.
I was expecting that the in wall switch also would behave as a selector switch.

What are you're experiences with the aqara in wall switch and Zigate?

Like to hear from you!

I have the same one, but I think it’s normal. In mi home it’s also just an on/off switch. It also operates a relay and double click doesn’t do anything.
In mi home you can configure each side of the switch as a remote switch and then the relay isn’t connected to the switch anymore and then you can single click/double click/long press. But in zigate you can’t configure that mode. Would be a nice feature for the future...
When you configure this in mi home and you unbind then the setting is gone and it operates normally.

If you switch to beta branch and redo the pairing. You will get indeed 2 independent switches and 1 power and 1 meter widget in utility as the switch report watts

I also have a double aqara switch, i have paired it with zigate, but it only shows as one selector switch in domoticz, is it possible to pair it do i get 2 independent switches instead, i want to pair the right ens left Button to two different Light bulbs, but with only one selector switch i cant se how i should do that.

I beleive you @tjabas you have a wireless double aqara switch, while the post was about a double wired switch which is delivering Power consumption.

@pipiche what ronaldbro is suggesting would be very nice for the in wall switch. That way you can use the inwall switch as a selector switch in Domo.

could you summarize it with a concrete example. I'm not sure I completely understood.
I suggest to manage through github this request, so feel free to create an issue on GitHub

https://github.com/pipiche38/Domoticz-Zigate/issues

Please put in perspective today's behaviour and what you would expect.

Then we will have also to see the backward compatibility, but we might work with a flag enabling a particular behaviour or an other.
