[315Mhz] Doorbell - How to?

Post by BarryT »

Hi all,

i have seen a doorbell wich i want to use.

It is this doorbell:
https://www.bol.com/nl/p/cacazi-deurbel ... 093678808/

In the documentation says its working on the 315mhz freq, so my question is, can i use this one, and if yes, wich reciever do i need?
I have already a rfxcom 433 and rflink with 433 module, a zigbee and a Milight module..

Thanks,
Barry

I suppose it operates at 433MHz because 315MHz is not allowed in NL.

Check with the latest Pro firmware in the RFXtrx433E or RFXtrx433XL if the button is received in RFXmngr with Lighting4 or only undec on.

315 Mhz is not allowed as b_weijenberg said, probably it's a US version/type?. Anyway, you can't use it in Europe assuming you live in Europe. If you bought it at bol.com and it is 315 Mhz, i would return it

Well, okay but why my rflink and my rfxcom doesnt see this doorbell?
I can check with a spectrum analyzer to see on wich freq it does its job?
Will let you know then later this week.

Because 433Mhz is not the same as 315Mhz, this will never work

Then it probably is not supported, did you check the supported device list of both transceivers?

It seems that it is fsk modulation, a protocol wich is not supported by rfx or rflink..
Need to have an arduino with rfm69 chip.
