Smart home dashboard app is now compatible with Domoticz - needs feedback

Post by igor »

HomeHabit is a beta of a smart home dashboard that allows you to connect and control several popular smart home platforms. We just recently added experimental Domoticz support that supports main components such as switches, light, scenes and more. Integration is going to improve in the following releases.

We are looking for a feedback from users in the community.
Please try it out and let us know what you think.

Thanks for checking it out!
Can you give some more details which temperature devices do you use? Which widgets you want to use for temperature?
Number of supported devices will be extending with new releases.

Can you provide more details, since there are no reports of similar issues from other users, it might be something more specific:
- exact app version (shown in support section of the app)
- android device and os version
- domoticz version
- domoticz device type, variant, etc. (if possible)

- 1.0 Beta 4.2 (1220)
- Sony xperia Z5, Android 7.1.1
- 4.9741
- Light: Domoticz type - "Colour Switch" (I use MiLight RGBW). Like a switch works perfect, but not like dim.
And the app doesn't see any domoticz switches from type "Lighting 1" (manual created switches)

Thank you.

Just to make sure I understood correctly, was it working for you in the previous version, or "1.0 Beta 4.2" is the first version you tried?

Manual switches will be supported soon.

There were no changes in related to Domoticz integration or dimmers in this release, so it is not clear why it is not working at the moment.
Will update after we do some additional investigation.

Thanks for reporting a bug.

Very promising app. Simple but powerfull.
In my Domoticz i can only see temperatures as gauge , no manual switches, no weather (DarkSky, netatmo).

Very cool app and idea. Got my domoticz instance connected.
Did some quick setup and ran into some issues.

- Could not add my temperature sensors which are combined sensors temp/hum/bar
- Cannot find any of my shutters/blinds when I select shutters type.

Improvements.

- Add widget for rgbw lights, including color picker
- When you add a new widget after binding the device set the label to domoticz device name by default. Now I have to define all labels manual

Nice app, I like simple design, but:
  • No temperature + humidity sensors
  • No utility devices (water, electricity, percentage...)
  • No Rain sensor (rainrate, total rain)

Happy to announce that Project Rotini is now HomeHabit!
Huge thank you to everyone who tried Project Rotini preview releases.

#### What's New
First HomeHabit release is mostly the same as the last Project Rotini release, but it does contain several critical fixes. More features and fixes are coming out in the next few weeks, including improvements to Domoticz integration.

#### Migration
The new version of Project Rotini that is rolling out now will have a link to upgrade to HomeHabit release through the Play Store.
Please migrate to the HomeHabit app at your earliest convenience. The app has the same functionality and will migrate all data over from Project Rotini on first launch (as long as both apps are installed on the same device).

Over the next few days, websites will migrate to the new domain as well.

We tried to make migration process as smooth as possible. In a chance that something goes wrong during migration, please uninstall HomeHabit app to use Project Rotini again. Do not uninstall or clear data on Project Rotini app until you are sure that HomeHabit app functions correctly.

There were number of issues fixed related to SSL certificates. Please try again.
As long as certificate is for matching host and not expired it should be verified, even if it was self-signed.
