Re: machinon theme
Hi All,
Really like the look and feel of the theme but kept getting the messed up presentation of the page per post on Page 1 by landaisbenj » Tuesday 10 July 2018 16:52.
Cache clear, local store etc didn't fix it.
I use Linux on x64 not Pi and run Domoticz with a modified webroot (for reverse proxy). When I remove the modified webroot the page loads correctly.
Cheers

Re: machinon theme
Do you run with machinon master or beta? Domoticz master or beta?

Re: machinon theme
I also have the problem with the labels overlapping the values. It happens on the dashboard and also on the other tabs. The Switches-tab is okay though.
I am running the 1.6.0 version of Machinon (a git pull also stated I was up-to-date), and I use Domoticz Stable (4.9700). I also cleared my cache and opened it in a private browsing-tab to prevent any old stuff from interfering. I attached a screenshot.
Is there anything else I can provide to help?

I installed the beta today and discovered a new feature, embedding a custom page. That's something i was looking for, for "ages"... Now i have both Domoticz and Volumio in one browser instance. That and the Kiosk mode on Google Chrome makes it a perfect combination for me...

Re: machinon theme
Hello,
I am currently testing this theme on a fresh intsall of domoticz on an RPI
It is beautiful! Great job!
But I think that the settings menu GUI ergonomy and style needs a bit of enhancement.
First, the "cards" layout as an information density too low, you need to scroll to get to see each settings instead of having an overview.
Second, the first settings screen has a nicely designed icons, but once you click on one category, you do'nt see them anymore (what a waste) and you don't have breadcumbs for the category at the top to rapidly switch between theme. You have to reload the setting screen and change.
Maybe it would be better to have the setting sub-category arranged in tabs on the top row, that would be always visible (or autohide) while you are in the settings screen ( not sure how it would turn out with the mobile view though). Plus, leaving the existing textual breadcumbs for sub-sub-category
Also, I really dig the icons design, the art is great and it's sad that we don't see it more. I think that it would be awesome, to have some specialy designed icons added to the main tabs selector "Dashboard, Switches, Scenes ,Temperature, Weather ,Utility etc" for us to always see.
Even maybe allow us to remove the the text and leave only the icons
Thanks again for this theme and keep up the good work!

Re: machinon theme
Wow, it's so much clean without type descriptions, I really like it!
Regarding icons on the menu, it would be better to have icons with the same colors as the the theme (and not original icons). It was a cache issue.
By the way, there is a little copy/paste bug with label Navbar icons, it acts on the Footer checkbox
Would it be possible to have notifications as an option because I find them useless and annoying.
Thanks for your job, machinon theme is so nice!

Re: machinon theme
With the custom page, is it now possible to move some of the devices (i.e. all chromecast devices) to this page, without delving to deep in to html and such?

Re: machinon theme
Hi DewGew,
Apologies for the tardy response, I have been away and I wasn't subscribed to the thread. Fixed that now...
I am running beta. I was running master and experienced the same symptoms but I never tried disabling the webroot to see if that corrected it.

Re: machinon theme
To all the great people that has made possible the theme, big thank you!
If visually there's anything you would like to see, let me know. For me personally my biggest bugbear right now the lack of remote access via an App. I have to install homebridge and use Apple Homekit in order to have remove access. I was thinking about an App skin but... How do I access Domoticz behind a firewall without a port forward? Or maybe is ok to have a port forward?
Anyway, not quite theme related but would love to hear what you guys are thinking could be next?

Re: machinon theme
I prefer VPN access. I have my own VPN server on VPS. A home router is connected to this server as a client. Then, for example, i run a second client on a mobile phone and i see a devices on my home network (depending on the server and home router settings). I am using wireguard for this.

Re: machinon theme
Very nice theme!
I share Minglarn's opinion that there is now quite a lot of empty white space - I'd really love it to be (at least the dashboard) a lot more compact to fit as much stuff on one screen as possible. I think it would also make sense to be able to swipe between screens and reorder them through settings.
With selector switches I have the problem that the theme creates scrollbars for the selector levels if they do not fit on the designated area. I'd prefer them to be resized to force them to fit to the available area (and the available area to be maximized by removing any "extra" paddings etc.). I'm not sure if this is available on any of the current themes by default. I know that in some of them the levels are wrapped to the next line.
Keep up the good work...

Re: machinon theme
I like this theme, but it looks a bit too compact, even with the dashboard setting to normal.
For example:
What can I do to change this so the information on tiles can be read?
