Moving Domoticz to newer Pi

Post by alarm_guy1 »

Hi guys,
I have a RPi 2 and would like to move my domoticz to a Pi 3B+, as I think my system is a bit sluggish, sometimes there is a big delay between a sensor activating and a light coming on for example, so would like to migrate my system to a more powerful Pi, is this as simple as setting up Domoticz on the new Pi and importing my Backup and plugging in my USB?

Secondly could the below device be a bottle neck?

I am using an OpenZWave USB
Version: 1.4-2888-g54682370-dirty

I'm assuming this to now be a clone Everspring unit.

My 1st port of call is the Pi as I have one of them spare, then will add an external harddrive later

Define 'big' delay.
If you mean 0,8 to 1,2 seconds that's normal when using built-in scripting.

In addition to @Egregius, did you have a look at the cpu/system load ?? e.g. top or htop when the pi2 is in use?
