Add new device Fibaro FGR-223 Roller Version 3

Dear all,

I want to setup correctly my new Fibaro FGR-223 V3 on Domoticz but unfortunatly I can setup all parameters, look they aren't all recognize... why ? What I have to do to plainly setup my device ?

"FIBARO System Unknown: type=0303, id=1000" but not with all paramters only these (I try to re-add device and also reset it completly):

157. Parameter #157:
3001. Protection:

Is missing all paramters explain here in page 24 : https://manuals.fibaro.com/content/manu ... T-v1.0.pdf

In fact have the same problem with another Chinese device named "Wenzhou TKB Control System Unknown: type=0311, id=0303+", how to add paramters of new device not fully recognized by Domoticz ?

There is a full detailled list of supported and user whish list futur support ? How update the knowledge dictionnary of Domoticz easly to adding new device specifications ?

It seems that the device is now supported by OpenZwave : https://github.com/OpenZWave/open-zwave ... /ChangeLog
But nothing for the moment on Domoticz side.

After some search, and before than Domoticz to integrate module configuration, you could add it manually to your installation :

1°/ Download this file : https://github.com/OpenZWave/open-zwave ... fgr223.xml
And add it into the Config/fibaro directory


2°/ Add this line into the file Config/manufacturer_specific.xml on my side I've added it just below FGS223 configuration.

<Product type="0303" id="1000" name="FGR223 Roller Shutter Controller 3" config="fibaro/fgr223.xml"/>


Restart domoticz then remove and add your device. It will be recognized as a Fibaro FGR223

Be careful on next update you will lose the line into Config/manufacturer_specific.xml file.

I finally instal Fibaro FGR-223 new Roller Shutter 3 on my Domoticz system. I had some painfull to add new xml OpenZWave but now is working well with all options. But I see a problem about percent opening status. Exemple :


Roller is close at 7% and I ask to go level 50% ...that work more or less fine because

1) Immediatly percent level gauge look 50% (instead 7%) on my Domoticz => Normal
2) Roller move from position 7% to 50% => Normal
3) But... percent level gauge on DOmoticz show again 7% (but roller is positionned on 50% like action was asked) => It's not normal !


My suspicion it's than Fibaro device fgr-223 send after the starting move the old position only (and never new percent position level) ... it's possible ? How to solve it ? Can Domoticz wait few milli seconds before to writeoff value ?

I installed the latest version of Domoticz on Debian.

I have the same problem when i try to include FGR-223 : "FIBARO System Unknown: type=0303, id=1000".

However, I had already the line "<Product type="0303" id="1000" name="FGR223 Roller Shutter Controller 3" config="fibaro/fgr223.xml"/>" in Config/manufacturer_specific.xml and the xml file in Config/fibaro.

I tried to install beta version of Domoticz but i have the same problem.

Have you got an idea ?

Did you manage to setup properly the FGR-223 in domoticz?

After including my fibaro FGR-223, many devices were shown up (see picture).
I added as switches with type Blinds Percentage the devices named as 'Level' of type Light/Switch in Devices tab. Is that right? Why are two Level devices? What is the purpose?
This is my first Z-Wave device and I am lost.

I see that fibaro fgr 223 its part of domoticz/Config/manufacturer_specific.xml already. That means it's already compatible and full working? i just ordered from amazon some fibaro modules and now i'm seeing this terrifying reports from you
I hope that was solved , fibaro module now come with firmware 5.01 ... and i have latestest stable domoticz.

In z-wave setup I only see 3001. Protection: as an option.. missing all the other options.

im using V4.11538 the device shows up correct.. but the roller shutter is still reporting wrong percentage values back to domoticz.. with a little pain.. it is working though..

Any news on this topic? Version 2 worked fine but I cannot find any FGR-222 anymore, I can only buy this new one model but it doesn’t work...

For myself i made a small workaround with an event to get the correct position:
I created a device event which resends the last position.
The counter is necessary because otherwise it would end in an endless loop.

Dear reader,

I had the Fibaro FGR-232 Roller version 3 (sw5.0 and 5.1) working on domoticz.
Last month the SDcard of my PI was corrupt. Backup doesn't work so the only way is to start install and configre. Now I use Domoticz 2020.2 on a PI4

Everything is gone well except include the Fibaro roller shutter 3.

I try a lot,
1. Fibaro module back to factory settings
2. Look if the XML file is in the config directory
3. Install a new Fibaro module including still not possible.

Has someone a working solution?
