Hi Bramski
I also have the same issue, include is working fine, but cannot drive the danalock, whenever I include the switch, it cannot make any connection and then I get error messages like you mentioned.
IS it now stable and any update what the trick was to include in a good way?
thanks

There is firmware update:

https://danalock.com/dv3-faq.html#0401

First exclude your dana lock from domoticz.

Reset your lock by pressing the tiny button on the lock with a paperclip 10 times in 5 seconds. The lock starts flashing red. Wait unil the flashing is finished. Now remove the batteries and re-insert them after 10 seconds.

In domoticz soft reset controller. Restart domotoicz or your diskstion. Check if all other nodes are initialized after the restart.

Now in domoticz go to add node secure, and press the button on the danalock V3 1 time. Be patient, after 1 minute the lock is initialized as "polycontrol". You receive 5 new devices in domoticz:

295 Z-wave controler 00002634 6 Alarm Type: Access Control 6 (0x06) General Alarm Event: 0x03 (3)
294 Z-wave controler 00002634 1 Access Control Light/Switch Switch On - -
293 Z-wave controler 00002632 1 Alarm Level Light/Switch Switch Off - -
292 Z-wave controler 00002633 1 Alarm Type Light/Switch Switch Off - -
291 Z-wave controler 00002601 1 Locked Light/Switch Switch On - -

number 291 "291 Z-wave controler 00002601 1 Locked Light/Switch Switch On - - " will control your lock.

Off course the lock must be re-calibrated afterwards.

Good luck

Bram
Hi Bram (and others)

I had similar problems adding the Danalock V3. Thanks for your help, it gave me the right direction. However, in mij situation (Rpi / Domoticz v4.9700 / Zwave.me) the clue was to first connect with z-wave and afterwards add the lock in de Danalock app. The other way around blocked z-wave. So what I did:
  • followed your advice whith exclude / reset lock / restart Domoticz
  • delete the lock in the Danalock app
  • reset the lock
  • add the lock as a secure node in Domoticz and pressing the button in the hole of the Danalock once
  • wait a few minutes until all devices are visible (in my case 3)
  • change parameter 5 "BLE Always Allowed" into "Enabled"
  • add the lock in the Danalock app
  • calibrate the lock with the Danalock app
If you try it the other way around you will not be able to set parameter 5 and therefore the lock will not accept bluetooth and z-wave simultaneously.

I hope this helps someone a bit.

Good luck, Taffy

To preserve battery Danalock v3 disable not used protocols, I just think this goes for both BT and Zwave
Quote from manual:
"If the Danalock is firstly included on a Z-Wave network, the Bluetooth Smart is disabled because of security and to conserve power. To enable Bluetooth Smart enable Configuration byte no. 5."

Hi all

had the danalock working in domoticz, but could not change settings on the device in the app. Wanted to change the twist assist behaviour. Decided to exclude the lock in domiticz. And then I could change the setting. So far so good. Tried re -adding secure and in itself that worked. I can see 3 devices, 1 lock, 2 alarms. But sending commands to the devices from domoticz doesn't work anymore. Can open the lock with the app, but no longer with domoticz. Gonna try some more combinations of include/exclude/ble/zwave. But no luck so far.

No idea where you can see if it's secure or not.

However, I did manage to get it to work again.
Previsouly I had to first add it to the app with Bluetooth and only then include it.
This time tried the other way around.

Excluded in domoticz. Deleted in the app, reset the device, remove batteries.
Put in batteries. Include secure in domoticz. This time 4 devices are added instead of only 3. ZWave in domoticz works. Add device with bluetooth in the app. Can calibrate, can change setting. Can still operate with Zwave in domoticz.

All is well. Dunno why, but it is.

oh one thing I forgot. I changed the security key in domoticz.

Hmmz seemed I cheered too soon.

After a reboot the device is unresponsive again. Each time I send a command I can see a timeout in domoticz.

exclude - include doesn't seem to work.

Here is how I fixed it! Thanks to this forum.

I was able to pair it easily but then it was not doing any action...

I have Raspberry with Zwave.me UZB (USB) stick with Domoticz
Firmware 0.14.6 on Danalock V3
I did a secure pairing with Domoticz and that part went well. Use the app Danalock under "Smart Home".
After this, could not do any action...

I just did put once a little pin into the Danalock (just once & one second!), it started to flash blue for 30 seconds which we did wait.
When it stopped flashing, it was all working well !

Good luck !

Is it still working without problems two months later? I am considering buying this lock but I am wondering if it is reliable enough for my front door.

I’m wondering as well if the Danalock V3 is working correctly and stable with Domoticz. I’m doubting between this one and the Nuki. I want one that is working stable with do Domoticz.

Excellent. Good news. And how/what can be controlled on the lock from the Domoticz platform? Open de lock? Put the lock on night lock? Can I see when it was opened and by whom? Can you share some screenshots on the Danalock Domoticz interface? Thanks.

Can someone give a definitive setup process for these locks? I’ve tried all the above (in various order) but I still can’t get the lock to work with Domoticz.

I can pair the app to the lock
I can pair the lock to Domoticz
Each time I try the lock in Domoticz, I get an immediate timeout.

Got the same prolem and nothing helped until I did this tine thing.
After I installed the lock using the app. I used the Pair function in the app and one device was added into
Domotiqs.
The I pressed, one time, the button on the lock without doing anything in Domotiqs.
Let it time-out and suddenly I could open/close using Domotiqs.
I still just got 1 Zave device for Danalocks.
Running a Raspberry PI 4 (buster). Domotiqs version 2021.1.
Danalock firmware version is: 0.17.5

Fully right ! If your Domoticz doesn't send any command to your Danalock, when all is setup (when you paired it) wait a few seconds, click on the small hole on the Danalock, just wait the it stops to be flashing green and then it works ;-).
