Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Hey Nick,
Apologies if this has been answered before but this thread is getting quite large and Tapatalk is not helping: I just installed blinds and added them to domoticz. There are simple open/close blinds (dummy device of type blinds inverted).
Google home recognises as on/off switched so I cannot say open/close. Any clue?

By now Google Home does not recognise blinds, so you can open/close them by saying "power on / power off" as if it were a switch. That's the way I use them.

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
I added some new devices to a roomplan, the controlicz user and did a sync my devices with google.
They are visible from the controlicz website but nog in the google home app. What can be wrong?
update: whatever. After one last try with sync my devices they finally showed up. I guess google is just slow, like really slow

I usually force close the home app on my phone while doing this. I guess it has the devices cached.maxtrash wrote: ↑Saturday 08 December 2018 23:33 I added some new devices to a roomplan, the controlicz user and did a sync my devices with google.

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Hi All!
Can somebody help me on how to set up a dummy thermostat and temperature sensor to work in google home? My temperature sensor looks like a thermostat (it shows the ambient temperature well, but I can set the temperature also, that's not really good.) And my thermostat looks like a thermostat, but the ambient temperature is the setpoint (that's not a big deal, I can live with this).
Thanks!

Sensors aren't currently available, so they have to be treated as thermostats for now.

Hello,
Anbody who uses scenes/groups? It seems that is not working.
All switches are working fine, even when not vissible in the home app.

FYI, Temp sensors and heating valves started working on my lenovo smart display a few days ago. It no longer crashes. The lenovo has not had an updates so i guess google fixed something on their end.
I'm just glad it works now.

Hi Marktn - i'm really sorry they're still not working for you.
Controlicz is definitely finding them, and sending them to Google. Occasionally Google can have issues with certain names (they can be conflicting with Google protected words) - so maybe try renaming them (you can do this via the Description field in Domoticz - look at the Controlicz FAQs for an example).
Also, note that the Home app doesn't natively show them, again, check out the FAQs

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Hi
Are you looking to the option to being able to select what room(s) we want to expose to controlicz or at least being able to enable/select the devices in controlicz web?
We normally have different rooms in domoticz to organize the different devices, but we don't want all of them to be seen by Alexa/Google to avoid duplications or virtual devices we use to internally perform activities.
Yes, I know I can ask Alexa to forget a device, but everytime a device is add we need to exclude it.
We can setup an special room in Domoticz and include those devices we want to expose it will be really a big improvement.
Thanks
Miguel

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
you can control the devices you see in Controlicz by only adding certain devices to your User. So whilst there may be a lot of devices in Rooms, you can filter it via the user.

Hi Madgeni,
For the dutch selector switches options, please consider to add the following:
- slapen
- thuis
- comfort
- vakantie
- gasten
I use them for my thermostat status and my domoticz status.

Hi msvds - have requested them, and also requested that they update their documentation on this, so we can ensure all sensible requests are covered for all languages.
