Lost password of camera Topic is solved

Hello all,

This is my first post on this forum. I am a Domoticz user since they started and I like it!
Last year I bought my self a camera and I installed it and I have it working with Domoticz.

Since a month I have to restart the domoticz service, after 5 days and a couple hours Domoticz service stop working, after a service restart it will work for another 5 days and a couple of hours. The thing is I can't find the problem, so I decided to start fom scratch and build it up again with a fresh install.

When I start from zero, I will lose everything, also my camera set-up in Domoticz, and I lost my password of my camera I searched in couple of files on Domoticz to find my camera password but I can't find it. Is it possible to find your camera password in a file?

No idea how domoticz stores such credentials. But, since http is used to talk with the camera, the communications are in plain text and can thus easily be sniffed using tcpdump/wireshark/etc. A third option could be performing a factory reset on the camera itself.

Using firefox or internet explorer, or edge
open the above page
press F12
in the section that opens at bottom, select the top left icon "box+ arrow"
move your cursor until you selected the password box

now look in section at bottom !
where it stays: type = "password"
then replace "password" by "text"

And your password will appear..
