Can I put variables on a dashboard (and how)?

I would like to put variables on my dashboard, I use them extensively to bind dzevents scripts together and knowing their values can be helpful when looking at the dashboard.

If it can be done, how does it work?

Maybe you can use dummy text devices for this and update those in your dzVents script?
