Dear all,
I have a RFXtrx which controls well my Somfy RTS blinds. However, it's not possible to track the blind state when someone uses the remotes instead of using domoticz to control the blinds.
This is a drawback as I have some scripts which need to know the blind position in order to work properly.
I have heard that this should be possible with a RFLink, is this true? How does this work, may I have a single switch for both controlling the blinds and receiving state changes from the remote? Or do I need two switches, one for reading the state, and one for controlling the blinds?
Thanks in advance!

The RTS protocol is a one-way protocol, so there is only sending and no feed back.
I beleave that the RFLink could recieve data from other controlers, that could be made as a workaround.
But you will never know the exact state of the blinds.

I searched quite a while for this but did not find a native Somfy RTS solution.galinette wrote: ↑Tuesday 26 June 2018 18:34 I have a RFXtrx which controls well my Somfy RTS blinds. Would these relatively cheap sensors be of any help for you ? If you can install these in such a way that they can identify if your screens are open or closed, a script can then update the status of your screen accordingly.

RFLink does receive and report the signals from an RTS remote control

What I understand from the information on the rflink website is that this is not the same rflink as used for receiving signals on 433.920 MHz (e.g. KlikAan KlikUit) but another one working on 433.420 MHz
Does that imply that you would need both versions if you have a combination of Somfy remotes and KlikAan KlikUit switches/sensors or do I miss the point. (would not be a first to be honest

RTS signals are received with a 433.92 version as well.
however, since RTS is sending on 433.42 the range is limited because of the frequency difference.
There are some tricks, like doing some modifications to a 433.92 module to slightly alter the frequency..

Re: Somfy RTS & RFLINK : update state when using the remotes?
Hi Stuntteam,
I understand from your post this is feasible, but I need some beginner tips
1) I already have a RFXtrx for controlling the RTS blinds as well as receiving Chacon DiO and Oregon Scientific sensors. So if I get a RFLink, it can be dedicated for the blinds. So which exact RFLink radio do I need ?
2) The RFLink does receive the RTS remote signals, how will this work in Domoticz? Which devices do I need to create/detect ?
Thanks again!
