Custom graphs

Post by rickvanakkeren »

Hi Domoticz users and developers,

Past few months I played a lot with Domoticz and I really like it. I have some suggestions for improvement. I will open different topics for them.

One of the suggestions is the option to make custom grahps. For now one can combine graphs in the temperature section, but maybe it is possible to extend that to other sensors. For example: I want to compare a of the switches (heating on) with the room temperature.

Thanks,

Rick

I second the original request but to engage on the last comment:

Can you point us to the documentation about the inner workings of Domoticz? Is there some simple example code to help us get started? Where in the wiki can I find the sections about creating your own plugins or how the framework operates?

It wasn't my intention to bumb an old thread, but search brought me here (and I've been going through some of the things raising questions here :)). I think the best starting point for contributing (developing something) to the project is to head to the github page and see what is currently available there in the source code, and especially check this: https://github.com/domoticz/domoticz/bl ... Hello all Domoticz users and devs,

I couldn't agree more with this feature request. I'm new user of Domoticz since a couple of weeks, and it's really a pain to go back/forth between temperature and electricity graphs between multiple rooms. I have 3 heaters with 3 SonOff Pow, and AC which can heat the whole 3 rooms.

Long story short, I can't believe this has not been added, even though it's been requested back in 2015!?

When I see the temperature custom graphs, all I wish is to have a custom tab at the top (let's say reports) and be able to draw graphs with any sensors reporting values (not just temps) and save those in that tab.

Considering the page already exists, must be pretty straight forward to implement. If it's not happening any time soon, I'll have to build an Android app just for that ;)

PS: To devs, this is a great tool you have made here, just misses a couple of important features, custom graph being one of them, and the dashboard being way more flexible: I have a 21/9 LCD display and see only 3 sensors per row is quite ridiculous considering 6 would fit perfectly. Way more flexible: I want to see the temp/electric consumption per rooms, not just per sensor types. Sorry this is quite OT.
