convert traditional wall switch to wifi

I have a normal on/off wall switch and i want to convert it to wifi with an esp8266.
i could not find anything about this on the interwebz, everyone seems to use the sonoff devices but unfortunately those do not fit in european wall boxes.
if anyone has an idea on how to do this, your help will be welcome to me and maby others searching for something similar.

@kniazio, thanks, i know about those but they do not fit in with the ones i have at the moment so i want to try and convert a traditional wall switch

What is your goal?

@SweetPants, my goal is to be able to control the light with domoticz as well as with the wall switch

No need to place the ESP behind the wall switch, too little space there and reception is bad.
I have the first prototype running, but it takes some hardware design knowledge and SW (ESP SDK) knowledge to get this going.
