That's why it's likely to be added! If it's just a reading, then it's likely. Out of interest, in your Devices tab in Domoticz, what's it's Type/SubType?

I make use of a custom sensor so i can calculate the cost of my energy consumption.
This is type General, subtype text.
For my solar panel i use a Youless device.
Type Youless meter, subtype Youless counter.

so it's the Custom sensor you want to query? What's the image you use out of interest?

Had it confirmed by Google, it's a general bug with the Italian Directory. They're looking into it, but no ETA

Lazyness , i think it kinda fun to ask google "How are my solar panels doing" she said, the production so far for today is 10.51 kWh.
Also, what are the cost of the gas consumption today... that kinda stuff.
If it can, i can use this. If not, i use my phone.

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Hi Nick,
I want to use a Text sensor to get the status for my Water Tank Level sensor. The sensor is populated using Node-Red via MQTT based on values of 2 float switches (OHH & OHL). However, I've only shared access to my Water Tank Level sensor but I do not know if Google supports text sensors and how to query them. Any insights?
Thanks,
Mayank

Hey Mayank
Currently the best I could do is treat it a as a temp sensor - so it would return the right value, but probably append it with "degrees" or similar.

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Hi Madgeni,
I've tried controlicz with Domoticz and Google Home Mini. All works fine but sometimes GH says that "controlicz is unreachable" a couple of time before understand the commands or else it says, for example, that it turn on/off a bulb but it doesn't. Any idea?
Thanks!

Hi - if anyone experiences any issues, you may have to re-authenticate with Alexa/Google - I've been doing some Controlicz housework

You mean remove and re-add Controlicz in the Google Home app?

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Hello,
first of all than you very much for the hard work on Controlicz and Domoticz.
I’m a novice at this, so maybe I’m doing something wrong and hence I’d like to ask your advice.
I have a single device in Domoticz, a light switch, which works perfectly fine.
EDIT:
To clarify, it is a "virtual device" actually controlling a SonOff Tasmota via Mosquitto.
I can also access Domoticz via HTTPS and control my device, so no problems (as far as I can see) with communications.
I registered and account on Controlicz and successfully connected to my Domoticz: I can see the “Success” status message upon testing connection, and I have the incoming connection log on Domoticz.
The problem is – apparently – that Controlicz can’t see my device: I did all the required steps (created a Floorplan an added the device to it and named the device “controlicz:light”) but it won’t appear under My Devices on Controlicz.
Obviously – and I guess this is normal now – If I try to add Controlicz to my Google Assistant account It will not retrieve my device.
I hope you help me understand what I’m doing wrong.
Thank you in advance!

You need to create a Room Plan in Domoticz, not a Floor Plan (obviously you can have Floor Plans, but Controlicz works only with devices in Room plans - it's like an extra filtering system of control for you).
Try that, and let me know how you get on

Indeed I was missing the Room Plan creation (my bad) so I created one and added all my devices to it: from what I can see in Domoticz it seems to be working perfectly.
But still, I can't manage to synchronize my light switch via Controlicz: I've also added my Netatmo to test with more sensors, and those are correctly reported by Controlicz to Google Assistant.
(I have an old model of NetAtmo Weather Station that did not have the dedicated chip yet, hence I need Domoticz+Controlicz to read its values using Google Assistant)
P.S. sorry if the devices names are in Italian in the screenshots.

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Thank you for your help Venzent.
What I meant is that upon adding the Controlicz account to my Google Assistant (after the Allow Total Control prompt to be precise) no device is recovered/found so Google won't let me add anything.
To double-check my procedure I've added my NetAtmo to Domoticz and paired again the Controlicz account with Google Assistant: this time all the supported sensors where recognized and Google asked me to add each device to a Room.
If I issue the "Sync my devices" command I receive a positive feedback ("Ok, I'm syncing Controlicz") but nothing changes.
Yes, Controlicz is linked to my account and inside the Devices panel on Controlicz website I can see all the NetAtmo sensors, but there is no light switch.
Please Note: that "switch" you see, named "Modalità Assente" actually is not a switch but the NetAtmo Thermostat "Away Mode". I had to call this way because anything with the word "Thermostat" in it results in an error when I ask Google to read the temperature or set a temperature. (The error is: "I'm sorry but I can't understand which device you are talking about"). Instead calling the Thermostat this way enables me to set the "Away Mode" as if it were a simple switch.

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Hi - if anyone is having issues with Google seeing your devices, and you're seeing them in your Controlicz profile, can you please try removing any Scenes from your Room plan? I think there's a bug, and i've raised it with Google, but some evidence would be helpful -
Thanks
oh and neoMod - can you email Controlicz from your profile? I'll take a look and see what's going on

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
my both google home devices (two houses) say that they can't reach controlicz. No scenes defined in one house, in the other there are scenes. Do you have hints for me?
