Best way to install Domoticz on Ubuntu server 16.04

Post by cazz »

Hi
I have now reinstall the Domoticz over three times and not got it to work.
I have install it in three different ways but still have problem with it

I have no problem to install the Domoticz, I also have no problem to install OpenZwave (I get no error anyway)

But when I trying to add a node to the Aeon Labs Z-Stick USB Gen5 nothing happend.
I have a Z-Wave Schuko Plug-in Switch plus Power Meter and it does not show up when I trying to make Domoticz to find it.

The easiest and quickest way would probably be as described here:

https://domoticz.com/downloads/
sudo curl -L install.domoticz.com | bash

Did you tried hard resetting aoetec gen5 and adding the nodes again? Seems like there is no zwave nodes config on gen5. Try adding with off port, take out gen5 from usb, press gen 5 button, when blinking blue press node s button.

No please read the aoetec gen5 manual, when blinking blue do not plug it in usb. Take it near the node and press s button on node.

if you include a node but it dont show up, wake the node or do the include again (without exclude).

this helps for me.
